Icewind Dale Time Tables

EDIT: There was a mistake found in the Places of Interest section of the file. The starting towns for the Cave of the Berserkers questline are incorrectly labeled. They should read Easthaven and Caer-Koenig respectively. The travel times are correct though!

Ever get tired of having to look up how much time it would take to get from point A to point B? Well here you have every time based question your players might throw at you, all in an easy to use table based PDF. Traveling around Icewind Dale will be a breeze with this file in your arsenal.

This file includes time tables for travel between EVERY Ten-Town city including walking and dogsled speed.

I've also including the time it takes to travel from the closest town to every point of interest in Ch. 2 including mountain travel time for those POIs in the mountains.

Another inclusion is a table on how long the chardalyn dragon goes on it's attack spree in each town and how long total before it moves on to the next (basically a time table on everything dragon attack).

I've included the time it takes to arrive at Auril's Isle of Solstice via the 3 different approaches stated in the module and finish it up by stating the travel time to the final travel location, The Caves of Hunger!

Lifesaver! I started to calculate distances and then stumbled on this gem. Everything in one place, easy to use and you can't beat the price.

Absolutely should already be an appendix in the core module. This is fantastic and was an instant print-out for my game. I spent an hour trying to put together a spreadsheet of town-to-town distances, then found out this guide existed and its got so much more. I promise you this will come up in every game-- overland travel is vital to the entire campaign and this does a good job of covering all of it. Really should be in the back of the RotF book itself, thanks for filling the gap! (Will add a review to this effect, but I didn't want to wait a full day!)

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
