That Fiendish Blood

a collection of 6 races designed around the question 'What if there were tieflings of other races.'

In this book are 6 brand new races to the Forgotten realms, or any setting of your choice, that come with a brief summary regarding how they came to be in the forgotten realms, how their respective cultures treat them, and a description of their physical features, alongside their racial traits.  They all retain some of the features of their parent's race in some form, as well as gaining new ones based upon their abyssal or infernal heritage.

Each included race was specifically designed so that all racial features were indicative of their race, and not their cultural identity so they can fit into games where DMs prefer racial traits being universal to those races, and not having cultural backing like abilities such as 'elf weapon training.'

If you were ever curious as to what would happen if a kenku made a deal with a devil to regain their flight, or if Dagon meddled in the bloodlines of tortles, this is the book for you.

Included within are the following 6 races.

  • Dracofiend, a dragonborn whose bloodline has been touched by Tiamat.
  • Tsuomsnni, Dagon's mapipulation of the merfolk, to be used as a weapon to supersede Demogorgon's merrow.
  • Lolth-touched, drow who have been graced by the Dark Mother herself.
  • Githferni, conflicted and mentally anguished Gith who have been manipulated by both abyssal and infernal taint.
  • Vrockling, the result of a semi successful deal with a devil to regain the kenku's ability to fly and speak.
  • Rotjaw, a failed attempt to turn tortles into blood war weapons that instead just made slightly more curmudgeonly tortles.

In addition to all of this there are 6 brand new pieces, one for each race, by the always fantastic Adela Quiles.  These pieces are full sized and easy cropped to be used as tokens.

A really interesting look at 'tieflings' in other species. The art is gorgeous, and the write-ups intriguing. I'm definitely planning to incorporate some of these in my next game I DM, or ask to play a Dracofiend in the next game I get [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
