One of the most exciting concepts in Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden is the characters' collision with the evil duergar Xardorok and his chardalyn dragon in Chapters 3 & 4. However, while these chapters present an extremely interesting premise, they are also extremely difficult to run – in no small part because of the way the scenario is set up and presented in the book, as well as the somewhat restrictive and confusing travel rules provided by Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden.
