"Deployable, usable, solid paths for character development ... a worthy addition to the Realms, and to D&D!" Ed Greenwood, creator of The Forgotten Realms

"This new class is gold!" Aaron the Pedantic, Dm's Guild reviewer. See their full video review here

Ride to glory and heroism with the Forgotten Realm's newest character class: the Chivalric Knight!

Inspired by the stories of King Arthur and other brave knights, this unique character class represents the true heroic ideal of knighthood.  Using brand-new rules for unique powers derived from their ideal, each knight is a deadly individual warrior, standing strong on the frontlines of any battle. As a chivalric knight gains ranks from completing their own knightly quests, they build their coat of arms and their heraldry, which creates player-chosen effects with their knightly equipment, granting incredible bonuses and skills. Build your own unique heraldry and gain in power while doing so!

You will also find the background for four amazing knightly orders, which can be used by players and DMs to bring their campaign worlds to life. Each chapter contains the history, the tactics, the backgrounds and the stat-blocks for each of these different knightly orders. They are:

- The Bannerhorn Knights - A knightly archetype who ride to war on behalf of the small-folk of Faerun. Endlessly searching for their sacred relic, the Banner Horn, they seek to end all suffering in the world.

- The Half Nights - A cursed body of warriors who seek to undo the terrible fate that they brought upon themselves. Trapped within themselves and unable to progress, each of these knights seeks to try and redeem themselves, while also hiding their awful undead visage only revealed when darkness falls.

- The Windbourne Order - Armoured Knights riding flying monsters! Sallying forth from great airships, these knights battle the dangers of the skies, seeking to protect those who are threatened by aerial dangers.

- The Salt Knights - Canoe-sailing warriors of a sun-kissed isle, the Salt Knights ride the back of Mighty Honu, the dragon turtle who carries their fort. From the seas, they seek out the dangers which threaten coast dwellers, ending these threats before it can fall upon those they protect.

This book also includes a generator for a campaign's own knights, allowing a DM to create a unique order of knights with their own history, successes, rituals and secret shames! This also includes stat blocks for the knights, which are customisable based on the history of the order.

Finally, this book includes nine new stat blocks for NPC characters to populate your campaign. These characters can be allies, protagonists or enemies based on a story's need, providing depth to any campaign which may involve the Chivalric knight!

This book also includes:

 - Ten new weapons, six types of armour, six types of banner and twenty-one new magical items!

- Thirty-eight original stat blocks, including wyvern knights, knight-marshalls, and half knight squires!

Ride to glory, and be the hero that Faerun needs with Brightlance's Tome of Knighthood!

I know what you are thinking! “They are just paladin!” or something like that. The answer is: yes and no. The concept is creating a paladin not bonded to a god but to the honor code of the legendary figure of the noble knight: the difference can se [...]

The book is incredibly high quality. The art, the layout, the design is all top notch. The class design of the Knight makes it stand out drastically from any of the other martial classes in 5e. It's extremely customizable in a way that makes ev [...]

Original electronic
Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
