Urban Encounters for Neverwinter

ADD TO WISHLIST >

EXPLORE NEVERWINTER

for the first time in fifth edition Dungeons & Dragons!

The D&D 5e campaigns centered on Baldur’s Gate and Waterdeep provide more than enough information to run exciting adventures in those famed Sword Coast cities, but Neverwinter, the Jewel of the North, has not been thoroughly explored in this edition! This major city of the Forgotten Realms is featured on maps in Dragon of Icespire Peak and Lost Mine of Phandelver-- campaigns written for new Dungeon Masters, but they do not include any support for budding heroes who decide to visit! Therefore, the purpose of this supplement is to provide some background on Neverwinter and twenty fun encounters to bring your urban adventures to life!

  • 1-page summary of Neverwinter lore, and locations!
  • Full page Neverwinter map with high-res download!
  • 50+ names for improvising NPCs!
  • 20 urban encounters with linked statblocks (just in case)!

Each encounter contains boxed text to be read aloud and additional information for you to share and augment as needed. They can be used day or night for any level of play, and with minor changes these encounters can be used for any city!

This product is a complete disaster. Was a complete fraud. I want my money back. For the same money I could buy a new real book in my country. I paid for 7 pages wich includes: a list of names. A not mutch detailed map. A list of boring encounters. I do this myself and I don't have the face to put a price and sell it. Also, te advertising uses a lot of color images of other books making you imagine the edition and the art is comparable. Wich is not.

I'm sorry to hear that Mariano. Please note that there are previews of the supplement here on DMs guild that show exactly what you are ordering. While the video includes images from other books, that was in no way an attempt to mislead viewers or customers. If you have a PayPal email address, please email me at bobworldbuilder@gmail.com and I will personally refund the purchase.

Thank you! Forest Encounters has been delayed by a Frostmaiden supplement coming later this month! I don't have a solid deadline for Forest Encounters at the moment, but I'm planning for summer 2021.

I do love the encounter ideas and illustrated map. Nice work!
I think "Blacklake" was renamed "Bluelake" at some point according to a Jeremy Crawford sage advice?
A cool follow-up product might be to get closeups of each district with points of interest fleshed out.

Hey Bob

The Pdf shows only 5 pages. Is that correct? No links, no monsters or stats?

Thanks

The preview does not show the last pages. And monsters/stats are linked via their names in the text. See the blue underlined words in the preview :)

Nice to get some NW content. I still can not understand, why they havent had players go there. Heck, we got one Baldur's Gate book but you're only their for 3 sessions. Bob keep up the work.

Thanks PRT! Yeah according to the main story designer for that book, Baldur’s Gate was an after thought to help promote the video game and vice-versa. I’m sure WotC will take us to Neverwinter soon. It’s one of the last major locations on the Sword Coast! But we’ll see. Never know what they could be planning!

The full color version shown in the video is a WotC map, and I did not have permission to use it here unfortunately. You should be able to find it with a quick Google search for "Neverwinter Map."

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
