Fantasy Grounds 'Spell Domain' extension for use with 'Fantasy Grounds VTT'

This extension adds an additional tick box between the normal 'prepared' tick box and spell name, this additional tick box works like the 'prepared' one but can be used to keep a separate track of your characters always available domain/oath spells.

I bought this despite not playing DD5E. ;) Any chance to make it PF2 compatible?

I have no idea if it can be made to work on PF2. I'm not familiar with PF2, can you give me an example usage for a character, ie character class combo for which this would be used ? ( I have PF2 core and a couple of book and FG modules, so I should be able to look into it.. I've added this to me to-do list, which is getting longer, so no idea when I might get time to look at this. )

In PF2 it could be useful for highlighting signature spells (spellcasting classes). "Signature Spells: Experience allows you to cast some spells more flexibly. For each spell level you have access to, choose one spell of that level to be a signature spell."

For those of us who use the "(SR) Drag N Drop" module to add skill actions to spell classes it might also be useful.

In PF1 there are also domain spells that you always get (Oracle Class for example).

Nothing world-changing, so if it's much work then maybe just leave it be. ;)

can you possibly add a lookup for only cleric levels so it only appears on cleric character sheets?

Multiple classes get domain style spell, druid get circle spells that are always available and also have to manage prepared spells... Paladin get oath spells and have to prepare spells.... ( Feats might add spells that need this type of thing, and multi-class... ) I'm in the process of thinking about changing the way its done, so I could look at adding to the 'meta' tab for spell to have a tick box to enable/disable the option.

Very interesting extension. Unfortunately it conflicts with the Diablobob extension that allows spell lists to be dragged into a character sheet

Just updated with a lower load order for you, as my extension has to replace the power page script Diablobob's extends.

Seem to have run into another conflict, this time with the Spell Automation extension. Would you mind taking a look at that? My players really love to be able to mark the domain spells so they are separate from the prepared spells

Had a look, and its not a simple thing... the rule set 'power_page' code is not suitable to merging so its mainly one or the other extension. I have thoughts about how I could adjust my extension, but it requires an investigation that might end up not been a solution either.

Thanks for looking into it. Your spell damage and weapon damage extensions are incredibly useful. I think that spell automation is nearly as good. Will have to learn to live without the domain spells I guess :(

Its a complex one, because the function that we both change does a lot of things and in both extensions we are not adding that much. But in both extensions it is not something that can be done pre/post the original function. Which is going to make even 'merging' the code a hard one. The only real solution would be to combine the work they do, as they would have to interoperate on the one function.

hi Gary, Just updated the domain spells extension, if you change the extension load order to be after 'spell automation', ie set it to 400 for spell domain extension, then this should work for you. Note, if you change the load order for spell domain and you also use spell damage, then you will need to move spell damage load order to say 410 as it has to load after spell domain... Also i've adjusted spell domain so it can be loaded after 'spell list' extension.. so you should be able to configure all to work. While I dont advise spell damage and spell automation together, as they both try and do the same sort of thing and can 'when used together' end up multiple-up-casts of the spells dice been processed and cause issues...... With all loaded you should be able to up-cast with spell damage while leaving the spell automation upcast box blank, but then still use the spell automation 'power' button to run the spell.. ( Which I think is the combination you were looking to use ? ) If you get chance to have a play...See more

Have never changed a load order Bratch, how would I go about it?

if you unzip the extension, open 'extension.xml' and change the 2, to 400.. ( If you are good with 7zip, then you can edit it in place in the zip file.. )

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
