Dino World

ADD TO WISHLIST >

Explore an abandoned dinosaur theme park in search of your quarry…but beware! Predators of all sorts stalk the crumbling ruins and toppled tourist attractions of Dino World.

Dino World is an Eberron: Oracle of War salvage mission for Tier 2 characters that can be completed in 3-4 hours. It is Adventurers League legal if used in conjunction with the Salvage Bases and Missions supplement.

Dino World was designed with the Eberron setting in mind, but it can be easily adapted to most fantasy settings, and makes a great one-shot game or sidequest. As an added scaly bonus, it uses every single dinosaur stat block published for 5e!

This is a DMs Guild Adept product. The Dungeon Masters Guild Adept program brings talented individuals together for creative development. Guild Adept products are identified with the golden ampersand.

Question for the creators: on page 4, under “Seaside Rendezvous”, it states that it only takes 6 hours to get to Seaside. Since the quest giver is based in Salvation, I presume that’s the starting point, but Salvation is also nearly 500 miles away from Seaside. That’s a journey that should take almost two weeks on foot! Were you thinking it would only take 6 hours to reach from a drop-off point on the southern coast?

Hello, I produce a podcast, The Quest Hub, that reviews and discusses TTRPG one-shots and supplements, and our next episode is going to feature this product! We're very excited to discuss it for the show and we take creator attribution seriously. So we intend to include a link to this page for our listeners to have access to the product to pick up if they're interested, we were just wondering if there was another site or any social media accounts you'd like us to to acknowledge or link so our listeners can find your stuff? Feel free to send me a message here, or on Twitter @QuestHubPod. Thanks!

I purchased this module instantly when I saw Nerd Immersion's review of it but set it aside as Eberron wasn't a game I was close to running. Now that I'm going to run Eberron soon I thought I'd finally give it a look as it's absolutely going in that game. My question and overarching issue is: what do I do if I'm not using the Salvage book mentioned in this module? I really want some mutated dinos but can't have them because I don't have another $10 to shell out to run this? Doesn't seem very fair to me, so what would others suggest I do in order to remedy this fact? Many reviews have said without the mutations it takes away from the experience and just skimming over it now I'm inclined to agree.

Unfortunately as I didn't purchase the module, I can't write a review in the review section, but this will have to suffice.

We played this as a one-shot after a particularly intense moment in our campaign and as a chance to play with some of the new subclasses in TCoE. There were 4 level 6 characters: a rune knight, an aberrant mind sorcerer, a lore bard, and a scribes wizard. All of us, including the GM, had a blast. Conowitch effortlessly weaves together pop culture with Baker's Eberron setting in a way that is both exciting and faithful to the lore.

The first encounter was especially exciting and established a sense of urgency early on. The NPCs felt properly situated, although I think credit in that case should be shared between the author and the DM. We went with the sky lift encounter, which kept us on our toes; the final encounter was fun and appropriately difficult. The Jurassic Park cameos were great--Ian Malcolm, Dr. Grant, and Muldoon were most welcome, though I would have...See more

Grabbed this earlier today and I will try to get a review up soon. Loved it. I found two small editing issues: p. 8 Top Platform says a pterodactyl has the gondola in the first paragraph but the second says quetzalcoatus. p. 14 Stat block for pteranodon has Second Wind which also references the Champion. Don't believe that (SW) should be there.

I will address the tyrannosaurus in the room and state this is clearly inspired by Jurassic Park.

AND I LOVE IT!!!! I normally resist the urge to pick up adventures like this when it does not have too much to do with what I am currently running (Forgotten Realms) but honestly I don't care. I will figure out how to integrate this adventure into either campaign one way or another. Thank you so much for putting this together! Looks like a blast.

I have ran this adventure before it is a great adventure and worth every penny. It, however, was a struggle to run it out of the PDF. I copy and paste into a word processor to make notes easier to run an adventure. This PDF is asking for a password. Can you provide the password for those of us preparing to run your adventure. Thank you, in advance for your time.

I really love the atmosphere of this adventure and will be running it next week. One small question however. Why is the Mastiff stat block in Appendix A? I cannot seem to find any mention of a mastiff anywhere in the adventure.

Hi Ethan! I'm so glad you like the adventure, and I hope you and your players have a great time with it. The mastiff stat block is used for the baby brontosaurus in one of the random encounters.

Finally! It seems like it has been ages since a salvage mission I could run for my players had been published on the DM's Guild! Although a few things I noticed...

1) Tier 2 is supposed to be lv 5-10, not 5-8.
2) The salvage yield for T2 is 100 per hour per character on success, and 50 on failure.
3) The roc statblock is given, but I cannot seem to find where it is used in the adventure.

No problem. The party I am DMing for right now is on the higher end of Tier 2 (as after EB-09, they will be at lv 10), so I may need to do quite a bit of upscaling if I end up running it.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
