I love this book and am using it for a campaign I'm starting! I think there were 1 or 2 monsters that had mismatching CRs between the stat block and Appendix (Grove Dracon and Rotted Hulk), and 2 of them were not listed in the Appendix at all (Uro and the Myriarch). I ended up making a list of all the monsters in Excel so I could create my own Table of Contents and Alphabetical / CR pages with page numbers listed, which makes it immensely easier to use the book.

I would recommend a table of contents for the pages the different creatures are on for ease of us.

Thank you for putting this together.

The Shaman is greatly under HP imo for the CR. Considering the base minotaur has avg 70+ hp and it's a lower CR.

This is a really nice extension of the existing bestiary for theros, my only problem is that theres no table of contents at the beginning so I know what page everythings on, other than that this is a great resource!

Just noticed a spelling error! Marauder of Mogis is written in the guide as Maurader of Mogis.

Sorry to be *that guy* I'm loving the guide though!

Should the Cerberus' health be 19? :-)

Yes, I did that on purpose. Its mythic trait adds additional hitpoints and max hitpoints when it drops to 12. There are stronger cerberi, too, such as the one in the GGtR (I don't have it in front of me, but I'm pretty sure there's one there!). This cerberus is just a typical small one that is more commonly encountered, allowing weaker players the chance to fight one. But thanks for flagging it!

I'm loving the PDF so far, I do have a question about the Scourge of Skola Vale's eat ability. I just don't get the point of it dealing itself 25 dmg and removing a head. Am I missing something?

Ah, looks like I need to clarify that in my next update. When it eats, its heads are a bit gluttonous, and they eat more than what's there-- the hydra's own heads are on the menu as well.

And I assume this is why it's CR is only 3 then. Ok, makes sense.

Is there any artwork for the creatures? There's none in the samples.

The book has no art, but there's an appendix that points you to the related card that shows the art. I recommend using Scryfall or Gatherer to look up the cards if you are looking for art.

I love this book, one thing that I'd really appreciate is stats for Uro and Kroxa, you mention the "Greater titans" (your way of separating the cards that were called titans/ripoffs of Greek titans in previous sets from the Beyond Death titans is really cool) but don't have stats and that's one thing I've been trying to find

Thanks! I haven't tackled any of the legendaries yet but plan to someday (probably in a new publication) if no one else does.

While I also find the dual types a bit odd, I like the product overall very much. Many of the monsters are very close to mythology, which I very much love. Thank you for your hard work.

Are you referring to the tags or the spell creatures?

well, i mean, the spell creatures are a bit odd, but i thought that any creature could only have one creature type, like how human zombies are only type undead, and not undead/humanoid

I feel like I've seen otherwise, but I'm open to revisions. I'll take a look at this when I get home.

Thanks for the feedback! I have updated the source so that none of the creatures have dual creature types.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
