Who’s haunting the circus?

A band of talented outcasts travel the countryside as the Circus Melange. But evil is afoot. The circus has been plagued by disappearances and hauntings that threaten to shut down the circus forever!

Take your band of adventurers to the circus, where nothing is quite what it seems. Meet dozens of circus performers, shopkeepers, entertainers and food vendors as you try to unravel the mystery and rescue the circus before it’s too late.

The Haunted Circus is a mystery-horror adventure is designed for 4-5 level 5 characters. This heavily-social adventure features interesting NPCs with detailed backstories and can take place in any setting. The Haunted Circus can fit well in between larger adventures as part of an ongoing campaign or can be played as a one-shot. The estimated play time is 9 - 12 hours.

The player characters visit a circus that has recently been haunted by ghost sightings and disappearances. By exploring the circus grounds and speaking with its inhabitants and performers, the party must uncover as many clues as possible before a powerfully evil entity uses the circus to feed his lust for power.

Content Warning: The Haunted Circus includes characters who are performers in a traditional circus sideshow. In addition, this adventure also deals with themes of otherness, self-harm, homelessness, animal captivity, death and grief, traditional horror and body horror (zombies, undead).
