Rescue at Brightwell

An eccentric military unit, trapped behind enemy lines, must save their comrade from an enemy Lieutenant willing to do anything to make it out of this war alive.

Rescue at Brightwell is a DUNGEONS&DRAGONS fifth edition military-themed heist intended for a unit of four to six characters of 3rd or 4th level. In this adventure, your players take on the role of undercover soldiers for the Belford army in the midst of a heated war with the rival Peldadrin kingdom.

Their mission? Find and recover a Belford agent trapped behind enemy lines, discovering the secret of Brightwell in the process. As the saying goes, however, "No plan survives first contact with the enemy."

Professionally presented. Maps are clear and readable, art is cool. Writing is proof-read. Font is easy to read, and it's blocked into sections/chapters that make it very easy to navigate.

Could fit into nearly any setting, simple, streamlined story.

NPCs are included with flaws, bonds, etc is great. I feel like I could run them with little prep.

I really love how you dealt with "if this happens, here are a few options on how to run with this" that are elegant, but gently steer the party back towards the planned adventure. It's a great "gentle railroad but closer to a sandbox for the right DM" route.

I enjoyed the 3 outcome possibilities at the end. I think it'd have benefited from a little less structure in this part though, but I really think an experienced DM could run with this really easily.

So, I just realized I could reply to these...haha!

Thank you so much for your feedback, I'm so glad you enjoyed my first foray into published adventures! I'll also be taking your feedback to heart and focusing on providing endings that might easily sync into future story opportunities!

These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
