Random Roads is an answer to an age-old question for Dungeon Masters: How do I make 2d4 goblins busting out of the forest interesting? Travel is such a common part of Dungeons and Dragon, but it can be a divisive issue. Some players love having the chance to break out the dice and have some combat without the weight of the plot dragging it down. Other players would rather the DM skip to the next town so the story can keep going. Random Roads hopes to fill the needs of both these types of players, by providing short road adventures that see combat players rolling their dice and role players roleing their roles. Random Roads is built for groups of all levels, with a scaling guide and hooks for any wizard of the coast adventures to help the DM drop these paths in front of any party.

Down this road: Ruined castles are nothing new to the world of DnD, and are often the source of some of the greatest dnd adventures. The Broken Pass takes this staple idea and makes a give the players a small castle adventure to help spice up the trek between towns. Along with the haunting remains of the fort's former masters, you can use one of three premade groups to occupy the fortress.

-Face a group of bandits, and meddle in their power struggle after a particularly successful raid.

-Deal with the aftermath of a mage's attempt to open a gate to the ethereal plane and the ghost released into the world.

-Or see if you can stop the return of powerful demon by convincing a bloodthirsty cult to not give their lives to bring their return.

Edit: At some point in the editing process the room numbers got messed up, I have uploaded a new copy with the map numbers fixed. If you have an old copy of the PDF just note that each room number in the description should be lowered by one.

FIX UPDATE: There is a first time for everything and while I know my products have had some grammar and spelling error this error was too big not to step in and fix. At some point in the document being sent back and forth between my editor and me, all the numbers for room descriptions were mess up. The courtyard was meant to be Room 0 and then the map counted up from there, instead, it got counted as room 1 and so the whole map was thrown off. I have uploaded the changed version so that it aligns with the map. I am sorry for anyone confused by the adventure up to this point. Have a lovely day.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
