Cursed Classes: Even Cursier Title

Just when you thought it couldn't get any more cursed, we're back, Even Cursier than before! You were just experimenting with some unusual ingredients in your stew and you've gone and turned yourself into one of the covenborn! Captured in the Underdark, you awaken as a broken creation in the middle of ceremorphisis. You refuse to let them have you and so you headbutt a rock. The hive surely won't want someone as broken a ceremorph as you, will they? The answer to the question 'Why classes?' is even more classes! We're unrelenting and you can be too. Featuring plenty of new options for subclasses, magical items, and backgrounds. We even tricked some talented adventure writers into writing ridiculous cursed-adjacent stuff with us!

Curse of Hearts         The Cover of Afflicton!

Also, we're not jerks, we got you covered. Every copy of Cursed Class: Even Cursier comes with the Cursed Classes Reference Document! All the subclasses in this book are entirely playable with only this purchase! Still, you should get the first one, it's good, seriously!

Cursed classes reference document included

2 NEW Cursed Classes!

20 NEW Subclasses!

2 Backgrounds that can fit a Cursed Class into any campaign!

36 spells for your Cursed and not Cursed classes!

23 spooky items!

Bound Spirit: Iron golem created by the original creator and a new wild MIMIC based bound spirit! We've lost our minds!

Floraspawn: Someone said we didn't have enough 'allure' in our plants, so now we have entirely too much. Also, death. Death plants, yeah, we're serious.

Lich: Did someone say our lich's were too soft? Well, no one actually said that, but we went hard on this one. Double your creepy with a new Shadow archetype! Also we put a lich in your lich so you can continue to play a lich while being under the command of a lich!

Lycanthrope: Forget the rules, we're just doing whatever is fun. Bats? Sure, why not? Sharks? Wait.. no.. Bison? Design team, you need to stop! WYVERNS?! ...I give up.

Revenant: Under the control of a cruel force, you finally manage to destroy them only to find out their enchantment is still on you. Might as well make the best of it! Also, we made a divine revenant, because why the heck not?!

Vampire: We all know that vampires needed more magic, especially magic channeled through their blood. Also, a new vampire which is based on the earliest forms of those that hunt for blood; real messy and violent, you'll love it!

Covenborn: They're not witches, they're kinda hags, but they're not beholden to the forces of the dark. They make their own rules with twigs in their hair and their hands on their hearts, or someone else’s heart. We also tossed in three new amazing subclasses to delve deeper into their 'weird' powers

Ceremorph: Mindflayers are hot right now, and we knew that. We also knew that psionics are a dangerous new concept that we needed to handle with care. Our ceremorphs aren't perfectly part of the whole colony. In fact they might take it on themselves to get revenge on those that changed them. They also come with three new options on how to meld into your mental domination.

This is a splash setup of the pages from the book

The wording for the Covenborn's Casting spells section makes them sound like both a spontaneous (Sorcerer) and Prepared (Wizard) caster, I'm assuming they're spontaneous but the part were it states "With a Charisma of 14, your list of prepared spells can include
four spells of 1st or 2nd level, in any combination. " makes it sound prepared in the example (yet no prepared spell modifier by 2+CHA or something is mentioned for calculating this). It might help to clarify this part in a future update possibly?

Otherwise the rest of the classes (including the Covenborn) are great addition for a horror/monstrous themed 5e Campaign :)
Kind Regards
James

The spell list is a spontaneous spell list. The little blurb about your Charisma was not needed and is overly confusing, perhaps information from an earlier build. The spells known list all you need to determine the number of spells you should have at any given level. We'll handle that in the next revision!

You don't get the earlier book, you just get the System Reference Document. It has all the base classes from the first book so you can use the subclasses from this one. Thank you for your question!

Playing a Covenborn / Rogue multi-class in a tweaked Ghost of Saltmarsh campaign and he's quickly becoming one of my fav pc's to play! I'm also prepping to DM a group in a homebrew campaign including the Cursed Settlement campaign doc, stoked. Thanks for all the work on these materials fam!

Is it intended that stone golems lost the ability to take Additional Arms? They were listed as being able to in Cursed Classes 1 along with the flesh Golem, but in CC 2 all golems are listed as being able to take Additional Arms except for stone golems.

And is it intended for Corpse Flora to get Synthesis a level earlier than other Floraspawn? Either that or they get an ability they can't use for an entire level.

And how does Harvest the Dead work concerning timing for Synthesis? Does 1 corpse count as 1 hour, 4 hours, or none at all?

All of the golems can use the additional arms feature. Suit of armor should not be able to take that feature, this was an editing or layout mistake and will be corrected in the next revision! Flesh, Iron and Stone golems can use the feature.

The issue with the corpse flora is actually rather tricky. Subclass features come in at certain levels and we felt that bringing it in as early as possible would be the best way to handle it. However, with the next revision, we'll be moving it to a level 3 feature which means that the subclass ends up being a little 'light' until that level. Harvest the dead allows you to access the first level of synthesis, which is equal to 1 minute of exposure to sunlight/earth/water. This way you can keep healing even in extreme or unusual environments, but you need to keep eating to sustain it past the 1 hour mark. We'll add a note to the feature so it's more clear. Thank you for all of your questions!

The spell lists appear to not be correct? Page 45 has duplicated spell list for the list for bards, ceremorph, cleric, covenborn, druid and lich.

Blood ritual vampire spell selection also doesn't mention what chapter the 2 new spells are in.

Ceremorph manifestation description seems to be filler text? Or oddly humerus.

Hi, layout artist here! Thanks so much for catching these issues! A v1.1 version is being uploaded as I write this message, with the corrected spell list, new Manifestation text, and added clickable links for Curse of Hearts and the Hamlet of Afflicton.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
