Alright Folks, a lot of questions!

So:

1. We just hit platinum. I've had a few last minute requests for gods which I'm going to try and squeeze in, but watch this space, there's an update incoming.
2. When this update comes in, it may be the last large update for a while. This has been fun, but daddy need to work on some other projects.
3. I don't see myself doing an Eberron version of this at present, but who knows the mood may strike me. ^_^
4. I do keep an eye on these comments, and I take note of all suggestions - if the book doesn't have a god you need, continue to leave notes below and I'll see what I can do (time permitting)

Thanks very much! Kurtulmak is in the next update. I just added him today, in fact.

I would recommend Adding Hanseath, A dwarven god of alcohol & drunk fighting. Otherwise, an amazing book, I think I might do something similar for the Ravnica setting.

Surely Eilistraee in part 2 right :3?

I haven't forgotten about Eilistraee, I just had a crisis of confidence over my first draft so I pushed her to part 2.

Any hope for Kossuth?

This is excellent work. Yes' I'm an Eilistraee fan-boy, with a side flirtation with Vhaeraun. But clearly we believe in you and your authorship, or we would not being buying this. It's not only what you have brought to the community, it is the potential of what you can bring to the community in the future that has us all so excited about this work. Perservere, good sir. Perservere.

I really love this book, and I've already started implementing it in my games.
But if I could request something for a future update, with the recent Twilight domain cleric, as well as the various references to the Shadowfell, I would love to see a section for the Raven Queen.
It's quite a popular choice for gloomy characters, and I have two players who have PCs who worship her.

Thank you again for the great content :)

Bought it, love it! It really is an awesome product and is well conceived, plus the icons for each god are very evocative. Curious just like the rest of the posters how close you are to Platinum, and what gods you're considering for that inclusion. Also, I know gods are more theoretical in Eberron, but is there a similar product made or planned for that setting? Thanks for all the great work!

Just bought the source for the Orc Pantheon (and hopefully drow pantheons later) and realized too late it is missing one of the big ones for my players/campaign-the Athena of the Orcs-Ilneval. Reading the earlier discussion, is this the same sort of deliberate omission situation as some of the other gods you mentioned like Ubtao? Will the Platinum update include any goblin gods? Anyways, I really like the inspiration & feature based take on the Theros piety system, and your take on the Faerun pantheons various ethics. Here's hoping for Platinum!

Will you be doing this for Greyhawk?
Customer avatar
Oliver C November 14, 2020 5:42 pm UTC
CREATOR
Unfortunately, the DMsguild license only allows authors to write for certain settings, and Greyhawk has yet to be unlocked by Wizards of the Coast for that purpose :( If that changes, then I'd be delighted to.

I wish the Goliath Gods from Races of Stone would have piety too. :) Playing a whole goliath group in Frostmaiden all following the old gods, I for example follow Manethak and I would love to use the system.

Hrm. Sales on this one slowed down a bit because I'm always onto the next thing and I stopped promoting it as much. We're about 100 sales off or so, last I checked. I'll think about giving it another push sometime soon, see if we can't get over the line

I'm really sad there's no Kossuth and other elemental lords. Will they come in Mithral?
Customer avatar
Oliver C October 11, 2020 7:52 am UTC
CREATOR
I'll admit I left them out because I wasn't sure if they were still present in the 5th ed FR pantheon. I think I saw a reference to Kossuth in one of the adventure modules, though, which is encouraging. I'll think about adding them in for Platinum.

Would Uthgardt patterns of piety make sense as an addition here for the human pantheons?

Aye, they probably would. I'll keep it in mind, maybe slip something in at Platinum.

Bring on the rest of the Gold and Platinum and Mithral tier you brilliant creative. This is a brilliant book and I can't wait (we'll I can but what I mean is I can't wait for what new gods will be in the current and future tiers)

I see most comments are asking for new gods so I'm sorry to add to that, but getting at least some of the archfey would be really cool

Looking over the new Orc gods, I noticed what I assume is a typo. On page 83 for Yurtrus, for his champions it says "Halfling Only". Shouldn't this be Orc only..? Also, why would Yurtrus be the only Orc god to require specifically Orcs as his champions, and not say Gruumsh or Luthic?

Sorry to bother if it was intentional for avoiding strikes or something, but I've noticed a few names are a little off: Dumathoon should be Dumathoin, Labelas Enorath should be Enoreth, Marthamor Dun should be Marthammor Duin. (At least, according to the Faerun wiki when I was looking up symbols for a deity reference table I'm making.)

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
