Community copy link doesn't seem to work. It says that it's been expended the max number of times.

Hi! This is a fantastic product.
I have a few questions about two of the subclasses presented inside.

Pg.4 Path of the dead

the boundary
- “starting at third level.....you can see or interact with spirits as if they were in the material plane.”
Does the barbarians attacks count as magical when raging & using the boundary, specifically when interacting with spirits in the ethereal & border ethereal?

Army of the fallen
- “When you slay a medium or smaller sized creature living creature whilst raging, that creature rises as a zombie or a skeleton under your control.....on your next round.”
Is there a limit to how many undead may be created using army of the fallen?

Pg.26 chaotic chroma
Prismatic stain
- “When you cast a damaging spell, you may alter the colour(s) of the spell to suit your taste.”
Do cantrips count as spells for the purposes of this ability?

Thank you so much! I'm working on a few new books at the moment, but if I have time I will certainly come back and add more.

Bailey,

I try and make sure I'm charging fairly for my work. I have to pay for art, my time, layout, the programs I use to make this and all the rest. HOWEVER, this particular book has done really well, and I'm no scrooge. If you check the product page again, you'll see there's a new image you can press to get a free community copy - call it my good deed for the day.

Pay it forward.

Is there an email address (or other manner) where you can be contacted? I have a lot of questions about how you create your content (where you get your art, costs of producing, etc.).

So, for Stillmind's final feature (Limited Spell Immunity), does that mean I'm immune to fireballs and hold person spells unless they upcast it to a 7th-level spell?

From the sample, it looks like a lot of the wording of features needs to be cleaned up to resolve the lack of clarity. For example, the Rust Ward feature doesn’t say that it only works on nonmagical weapons, but then the Entropic Gyre feature retroactively states that

Do you have a discord Oliver? I like a lot of the concepts in this supplement and I was wondering if you would be down to discuss your subclasses and their nuances.

I tend not to use my Discord for work things, but I'd be happy to hear what you have to say if you want to whack me an email to oclegg@yahoo.co.uk (if you find the time, ofc, no pressure). Just tag it Book of Bad Magic in the subject line ^_^

This looks great so far! Imo a few of them seem too powerful, entropy cleric, pain cleric, night cleric, stillmind, and thought eater in particular, and to a lesser degree arcane anomaly, etched soul, and evil star, but overall I love these ideas. All in all a really fun supplement.

The wording of Eternal Rest contradicts the wording of Army of the Fallen a bit by my reading (may want to make a minor edit there), but I love the Path of the Dead overall!

Specifically:
At level 6 the Barbarian gains a feature that allows them to raise a skeleton or zombie from the corpse of a foe they reduce to 0 HP, which is about the raddest XXX ever!
But at level 14, the text of that feature completely negates that ability, saying that any creature slain by the barbarian cannot be revived, resurrected, resuscitated, turn into a ghost, or reanimated as corporeal undead (i.e. zombies and skeletons).

Andrew,

You are far too kind. I am just a tall and bookish goblin who churns out D&D content. I am sure you can surpass this in any way you put your mind to. Nay, I insist on it.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
