This is an EXTENSION for use with the Fantasy Grounds VTT.

Automatically check if you are flanking when rolling an attack, there is an option to set what bonus you get from flanking.
Automatically apply disadvantage on ranged attacks when engaged in melee combat, unless you have crossbow expert. (There is an option to disable this feature)
Automatically apply disadvantage on ranged attacks when they're made past the normal range. (There is an option to disable this feature)

Does anyone look at this comments area? I have had no reply regarding this extension not working since February. I have updated to the newest version (6/1/22), but it still doesnt grant advantage when tokens are flanked. Is there still some issue we dont know about? Or is there a fix available? I would appreciate it if someone could respond. Thanks.

Ever since the last FGU update my Auto Flanking extension has stopped working. It would throw up errors whenever an attack was made that qualified as a flanking scenario. I tried updating my version, and it stopped the errors, however the extension no longer picks up when flanking is occurring and doesn't see to work at all. Any help?

Yes, a recent update to 5E and running this extension for me gets "Script execution error: [string "scripts/manager action attack afar.lua"].463: attempt to compare nil with number". This extension doesn't seem to be on the FG Forge, so perhaps it's not being supported?

This only seems to work for the PCs. The NPCs ignore the disadvantage on long ranged shots at PCs.

Attacking huge sized creatures in any position besides from corners will not provide advantage.

After the Feb 16 FG update I am receiving the error: Script execution error: [String "campaign/scripts/char_weapon_afar.lua"]:58: attempt to index global 'ActorManager2' (a nil value). This occurs when I roll an attack roll.

Version 2.1 should not be exhibiting this issue. Ensure that’s the version that’s running... if so please try with only this extension to see if it’s a compatibility issue.

There is a situation with the flanking rule when the attacker has crossbow expert feat and is flanking an hostile with another allied it doesn´t give an advantage roll

Flanking in the rules per the DMG are specifically for melee attacks, the crossbow expert feat allows you to bypass the disadvantage from ranged attacks in melee, but it doesn't turn your ranged attacks into melee attacks.

I think I have most of this extension figures out, but I am lost with the second option of "Bonus Attacking flanked Target." How is this different from the regular "Flanking Bonus?" I can't seem to trigger it. Yes, I can get the normal "Flanking Bonus" to work, I just can't seem to figure out that second option.

Any help is appreciated.

That is for a 3rd person who isn't flanking the target to gain a bonus because their teammates have the target flanked. It's an option some people like, but one I personally do not use.

In a game last night, and in testing since, Disadvantage is not being applied for attacks at range outside of the normal ranged interval.

Playing in FGU, standard measurement/movement rules. Has this problem been reported previously?

Flanking seems to operate as intended.

Is there any key that can used when attacking to disable the function for that specific attack? I ask this because we have run into the situation quite a few times where you have tokens on the map and technically one of them is much higher up (Z axis) so they are not within melee range of the other token, but the extension is that registering as melee distance so the ranged character gets disadvantage in melee.

I guess they can hit ADV knowing that it will offset with the DIS of ranged in melee.

edit: as a note the ADV/DIS ext mentioned below wouldn't work well because there can be a situation where you should have ADV (say when the creature has already been hit with Guiding Bolt) and you are being listed as ranged in melee because it doesn't understand Z axis. that would cause ADV/DIS to cancel each other out; doesn't even matter if you have multiple ADV on they still all cancel.

Does the ranged Attacks calculate the distance with the variant method? (First diagonal count 5 second count 10)
Is sharpshooter (no distance penalty) integrated?

Works great.
Distance is calculated as you have set then in the options.
If the Sharpshooter feat is applied range attacks does not give disadvantage.

Some issue are on flanking with bigger tokens: 3x3 the middle field does not grant advantage. 4x4 the both middle fields does not grant advantage.

The most thing I enjoy is that it also works with the Advantage disadvantage hotkey extension.

These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
