ADD TO WISHLIST >

The standard D&D 5E character sheet (plus a few pages for notes and a quick stat reference on the back cover) reworked to fit comfortably into a zine-sized format in two versions:

  • Non-magic character (20 pages)
  • Spellcasting character (24 pages).

Wondorous benefits

  • Reference primary stats on back page!
  • Save space at the table!
  • Keep in a fancy traveller's notebook!

Printing instructions

Two standard PDFs and four 'print-at-home' files are included; confusingly both can be printed at home.

Standard file (recommended method)

  1. Open file in Adobe Acrobat
  2. Open print dialog
  3. Select 'Booklet' as printing option
  4. Print 'Front side only'
  5. Filp pages over lengthways
  6. Print 'Back side only'
  7. OR print 'Both sides' if capable of duplex printing

Home print files

  1. Open file A in PDF viewer of choice
  2. Print file A
  3. Filp pages over lengthways
  4. Open file B in PDF viewer of choice
  5. Print file B on reverse of pages
  6. Trim edges using trimlines

Home print version will create a slightly smaller scale booklet.

Fancy enhancements

  1. Use a scalpel to cut windows in the front cover to view name, picture, and class
  2. Fold a stapler back on itself to staple centre pages together
  3. Round the corners

If using Adobe Acrobat’s booklet printing function I’d start troubleshooting by clicking the ‘Page setup’ button in the bottom left of its print dialog and see if the zoom level is set to 100% and paper size set to A4.

If using the home print files then I’d start troubleshooting by checking for any ‘do not scale’, ‘zoom is 100%’, or ’fit to page’ settings as well as checking the right paper size has been selected.

Thank you I have one more question could I use letter paper? Or are they the same?

That’s a good question!

Letter is 8.5x11” and A4 is 8.3x11.7” so it should be okay (depending on your printer’s margins) but I’ve not tested it. Might need to drop the zoom by a percent or two if it doesn’t quite fit.

Had a go with cutting some paper to letter size and seems to be fine (on my printer at least)

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
