Tomb of Annihilation Expanded

Part 6: Omu

Do you wish Tomb of Annihilation had more content and maps? Do you wish there was more jungle in your jungle adventure? Are you too busy to prepare all this yourself?

Then this is the product for you!

What it included?

  • 44 colorful maps, including battlemap variants for the encounters at Omu, several random encounter maps for out in the wilderness of Chult, and a map for the sidequest adventure!
  • One new sidequest and an expanded encounter and story for an area of Omu, each with maps, encounters, treasures, and interesting stories that add to your Chultan adventure experience.
  • At least 12+ hours of additional content!
  • And MORE!
This product contains forty-four maps, all of them add-ons to the Tomb of Annihilation adventure.  That product is not required for this supplement to be beneficial.  These maps and encounters can be added on to your own jungle adventures even without the Tomb of Annihilation adventure campaign.

To save money, consider buying the Tomb of Annihilation Expanded [BUNDLE]

The bundle will be updated with each additional expansion!

I'm initially slightly disappointed with this. I wish I'd spotted that the maps were produced by 2minutetabletop before I purchased. They're not bad, they're just not the same style as the rest of the additional maps I've used throughout ToA and I like to keep the same kind of theme running through all the maps I use. I like the idea of the competing kobold groups and the Gnomish Family Robinson but I'm either going to have to find different maps or get over my fixed approach to map styles.

Unfortunately, there's only one Mike Schley. And I'm not him. So, yeah, the maps don't look like Mike Schley's maps. In my experience, no one's maps look like his maps.

The description above includes a Full-Size preview with one of the maps included and it also mentions that 2minTabletop assets were used.

I know, it's my bad. I'm going to see if I can work around it. Great ideas to flesh out Omu though.

I think I recieved a faulty product - the maps still have the artist's link "Map Assets By 2minutetabletop.com" on them?

It's not faulty. As part of my deal with 2mintabletop to be able to use his map assets, I include his watermark on my maps in one corner.

I see the fantasy grounds logo on this, are the maps compatible with roll20? I'm sure they are just asking.

The FG logo links to the FG version. This version is compatible with pretty much any VTT, including Roll20.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
