This is an EXTENSION for use with the Fantasy Grounds VTT.

This will allow you to add an effect to a rogue that can always just be left on.

Sneak Attack as an effect will check if there is an enemy of the target within 5' and if so calculate how many d6's the rogue gets for its sneak attack damage and apply the effect automatically.

When used with Fantasy Grounds Turn Based Effects, (as is recommended) the effect would be Sneak Attack; ONTURN which will only give the rogue sneak attack damage once per turn.

This does also check for rakish audacity as well if you happen to be a swashbuckler rogue.

One thing to note is that it calculates the number of d6's based on the Rogue level in the character sheet, so if that has been renamed to something else this won't work.

This does require tokens from the combat tracker to be on a map with a grid to work properly.

This also adds a creature-type vehicle that does not get considered for calculating sneak attack bonus damage.

So if you're playing Baldur's Gate: Descent Into Avernus the infernal war machines won't be triggering the sneak damage.

If your rogue happens to have the same strength as dexterity modifier you may need to manually set finesse weapons to use "Dex" instead of "Base" in the ACTIONS tab for that weapon.

Supports the Insightful fighting feat with targeted effects.

To utilize this:

1. Create a power on the rogue which targets self with a duration of 1 minute. ![effect]

2. Perform the checks manually as you would otherwise.

A. After a successful application:

1. Hold SHIFT while dragging the insightful fighting effect onto your target.

* This will apply the effect to you, but only work against the targeted creature. ![targetedEffect]

2. Attack as normal and you'll gain the sneak damage effect upon a hit against your insightful fighting target.

For users of Enhanced Combat Effects Gold, you can sidstep the need for the turn based effects extension by using the following effect. (always worthwhile keeping the extensions list smaller if you can)

Sneak Attack; ATURN; DUSE

Hello,
it looks like this extension works for finesse weapons only if the attack is Dex based; this should not be correct, as the rule in the PHB is that "the attack must use a finesse or a ranged weapon", and the Finess trait says "When making an attack with a finesse weapon, you use your choice of your Strength or Dexterity modifier for the attack and damage rolls". So it should be possible to use a Finesse weapon but still use Str instead of Dex to attack, and still trigger the Sneak Attack.
To be pedantic, according to the Rules as Written the Sneak Attack should be triggered even if the character is using Charisma for its attacks (e.g. a Hexblade Warlock), as long as the weapon is a finesse weapon or a ranged weapon.

Is there an updated version. It seems the current version is broken, as it is no longer working.

Hi! your extension is working good when making an ADV attack. But seems to not recognize enemies in 5' from the target so the automation is halved.
Please can you check? Thank you

Hi, just purchased the extension and wasn't sure if the sneak attack should trigger whenever the character has the advantage. I was able to trigger the 5' rule but when I go invisible and get the auto advantage roll, it doesn't seem to add the Sneak Damage effect. Thanks.

Okay, didnt realize it pulled the effect from CT so was confused. Seems to work well now. On another note, I am using a fairly popular spell automation extension which also automates the weapon attack and damage. This does seem to collide with the sequencing of the sneak attack damage effect. Happen to run into this with yourself or others and have any advice? The automation work well in that it is a single click to execute an action but currently doesnt work with the sneak attack. Thanks for the guidance.

I've heard about the issue with that other extension. When I have time to look into making them compatible I will, but not sure when I'll have the time to look into that issue.

Would be great. If you need any additional details or help in debugging let me know. Looking to potentially get the rest of your extensions as they are extremely useful.

Found a issue. With a strength based Fighter/Rogue. FG uses the Strength stat since it is better than the Dex. This extension then doesn't trigger on melee attacks even though the weapon is finesse. Any help?

I hadn't even considered a rogue that might actually favor strength over dexterity. As of right now, unfortunately this wont end up working for that player, however I'll take a look at updating it now that I know there's an actual use case for the strength based rogue!

Hi. Will the sneak attack automatically trigger on the first damage roll or is there a way to skip the sneak attack on the first hit?
5 Fighter/x rogue with crossbow expert has 3 attacks and may will wait for a crit.
Thanks

By default it will trigger on the first attack, you can always set the effect to skip if you like however. If you're unsure of how to do that or have other questions visit our discord and we'll happily help you out.

I downloaded Sneak Attack and the Turn Based Effects extensions. The Turn Based Effect seems to work, but the Sneak Attack damage is added regardless of whether there are the appropriated conditions of not. No ally within 5 feet doesn't matter. I am not using Unity. What am I doing wrong?

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
