Neverland - The Impossible Island

This is a fully playable setting guide by Diana Gaeta, featuring incredible guest authors Noir Enigma and Avalon Mason, as featured on Critter Hug and Adventuring Academy!

We've all experienced some hardship or trial that makes us wish, perhaps briefly, to the stars that we could run away to a place where those problems cannot follow. What if, one day, a strange
being flew down out of the stars and told you that they could bring you to such a place? Not just to a place free from your current trouble, but with magic, and mermaids, pirates, and endless adventure?

Would you have the courage to leave all you know behind and race across the stars?

"There are very few stories that have the prominence that Peter Pan does that discusses the transition of adolescence and the idea of fraternal childhood, and watching each new iteration of it tackle new and interesting facets of what initially you think is a very small world. And what Diana has done with this supplement {...} it's incredible how in-depth it goes and how it pulls so many unique facets of that world and fleshes them out in ways that you never had a chance to really explore."

---Matthew Mercer, Voice Actor and GM of Critical Role

"This new dnd release forges its own path as a true reinvention, not just a literal adaptation. Diana reconceives Neverland with dnd tropes and updates its concepts in fresh ways. It's a fun setting with a lot of heart and I hope to send my players there someday."

-—John Scott Tynes, game designer (Unknown Armies, Delta Green, Puppetland)

"Gaeta neatly removes some of the more problematic elements of the Peter Pan tale without leaving a glaring absence and presents some interesting story options and updated themes. DMs can choose to whether to present Pan at face value or give his distorted view of Neverland a more sinister undercurrent."
- Christian Hoffer, comicbook.com

Included you will find Neverland Lore, recognizable characters as NPCs and villains, a new kind of monster, and a guide on how to create your own, Neverland specific feats, and different regions to travel to. Neverland and Peter Pan has been a huge part of my life since I was a little kid, and TTRPGs have been since my teen years. I worked so hard to try to bring these two together. I hope that anyone out there gets as much joy from it as I did making it.

UPDATE!! The setting guide now has more lore, two adventures, and a subclass!

This setting guide is based on the Neverland described by JM Barrie in his original novel, Peter Pan. This is entirely a passion project, one out of homage and love. This setting guide has raised $600.00 to the Native American Rights Fund (NARF) and $200.00 to various Bail Funds across the US. Thank you <3

I hope this brings some new adventures to your table.

Please know that according to the St. Ormand's Street Hospital, with exception of the play and any other new IP, JM Barrie's Peter Pan is under the public domain.

Hi Diana! Is there a larger, printable version of the Neverland map? I'm running this soon and realized it would be handy to have one to show my players once they know their way around.

Is the character sheet link supposed to go to the Neverland setting sheets? Looks like the actual URL is missing.

This is a very fine supplement, true to the spirit of the original and avoiding the problematic aspects. Heartbreakingly good.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
