Hi I wanted to inquire if anyone or the creator had put thought into how quickly the kinbukoro could transform (bonus, free, reaction)? I was thinking specifically of using it as a net to break a fall if I climbed and jumped/fell. Whether it could latch to anything is another issue. It might be this is all kinda left to the dm, but was curious.

Definitely a fun, tricky race that I adore. Always loved Tanukis
Just wish that I could get Sneak Attack with that natural "weapon" ;3 Perhaps an alternate trait or something to give it finesse.
But, at least I can use Monk Dice with it

I am all about more Yokai-type playable races ever since Nioh 2 and being introduced to Shiftlings. If there's a few creatures I'd like to see become playable races later it would be Kappa, Tengu, and some kind of bug type race if there's a Yokai of those. I am glad to see Zito had made Gator People and other interesting races, but I would love LOVE to see something more bug based like playable Beetle, Mantis or Dragonfly people... or all three! Keep up the great work you and the rest of The Unexpectables do to brighten our days with your legendary antics.

I just had my adventures reach an old blacksmiths hut where a young Tanuki Ninja has been living... I wasn't ready to introduce the character to my party yet, so they just messed around investigating her property, stealing some of her supplies, and then cleaning up the place lol. Then I brought a tengu disguised as a rickety old man in at the end of the session who disappeared as quickly as he came in... I can't wait to use this for my NPCs introduction

Killing a BBEG with the "golden bag" will be the high point of any campaign.

Hey, just saying, but there's a scientific error on this.

raccoon dogs aren't the only canids that can climb trees, but there's only one really known for it other than raccoon dogs.

Gray Foxes (scientific name *Urocyon cineroargentis*) are so well-known for climbing trees that they're sometimes called "tree foxes".

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
