The sands of time flow strangely in Forlorn, a land of dark druids, fractured histories and tortured souls.

From the depths of Castle Tristenoira, a sinister shadow chokes the life from the earth, and none can stand against it.

In a journey of grimalkin, ghosts and goblyns, brave adventurers must parley with the dead, unravel ancient curses and travel into the past to change the fate of Forlorn forever.

Standing Forlorn is an 160 Page adventure for Tier IV characters set in the domain of Forlorn, from the author of City of Eyes, Solace in Silence and Widow's Peak.

Just awesome. Brimming with ideas and imagination. It's hard to find good materials for high level play. This is fantastic.

Hello, I'm interested in purchasing this. I ran CoS over the course of 2 years and my players ended at level 15 (fighting a refluffed demonlord instead of vampire strahd). im very intrigued with the idea of bringing my player's party back for a fun continuation! do you know how long this adventure is estimated to run for? with 160 pages of content, im sure its not your typical 4 hours haha

Aye, it could take a bit longer to run than 4 hours! I'd intended it to be something of an adventure book rather than a module, and while you could cannibalise it for parts it might be a bit mouthful for a single session if that's your intent. If you're not sure, you can pick up a free copy using the community copy button on the product page, and if you like it then you can always come back and throw me a coin or two later. :)

I'm a bit disappointed with the product, to be honest. There is a lot of good with the MODULE, as there is some truly good bits of writing, and some truly fantastic artwork. It has the potential to be a favorite module of mine on those merits, but it's held back by the severe lack of maps. There's entire areas without a single map. Several major places have areas listed (A1, A2, A3, etc) but there's no corresponding map for these to have any real meaning, no sense of scale of how far apart area A1 is from A2. The starting area is especially terrible for this, with a wide open area with the player starting at point 1, a magic user with a potent item at point 2, and a major plot point for the end game at plot 3, with nothing to indicate how close these things all are. That's a problem.

When I buy a module, it's to make running a game easier, to let someone else do the work for me. This module only does half the work. My players loved Curse of Strahd and asked me to run this, and I paid for the module...See more

I'm sorry to hear it, though I've learned over the years that you often can't make everyone happy. If you want to drop me a line at oclegg@yahoo.co.uk, I'm happy to reimburse you for the cost out of my own pocket, and naturally you can just avoid my stuff in the future! I'll keep this in mind for when I eventually do a revision.

I just purchased this product and am loving what I am reading so far. I did notice something that appears to be missing: on the map on page 21 - the following locations are missing: D, H, J, and Q.

Ah, yes. I think they likely got missed in layout. I'm doing an errata run for v1.1 this weekend - thank you for this, I'll take care of it. If there's anything else you notice, feel free to send it through to oclegg@yahoo.co.uk, I keep a closer eye on that inbox :D Many thanks for your support!

I cannot offer a true rating because I was commissioned for art for this book, but I still want to say that it is an incredible creation Oliver has put together.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
