B4: The Lost City - High Resolution Color Maps, including full pyramid map

ADD TO WISHLIST >

This PDF contains 6 fully colored maps for the classic dungeon crawl adventure B4: The Lost City, which includes a never been seen before full exterior drawing of the step pyramid. Each level shows both the inside of that level, but also the outside area on that level. A 300dpi CMYK version of each map is provided, as well as a 72 dpi web version in RGB (the exterior drawing is set to 65dpi so that it is small enough to upload into Roll20). I've also included several versions of Tier Three of the pyramid (reflecting on the different positions that the rotating center section can be oriented, plus a version without the rotator, and a seperate PNG file with the rotator - thus can be manipulated in web platforms like Roll20).

NOTE: I'm making a few additional edits still for this product. These edits include adding dungeon furniture that is presented in the adventure and fixing some minor errors in different areas. New versions of any edited maps will be uploaded to DMG once they are completed and you'll recieve them for free.

In addition, I'm planning to produce the lower levels of the dungeon in the same style as a future project. When I do so I'll be raising the price of this PDF with each new additional map, but if you purchase it now at this price you'll get the newer material for free once I upload it.

You can also purchase this title as part of a bundle that includes my conversion of the 1st Edition monsters: The Thoul and Zargon the Returner, getting a discount by purchasing the bundle, instead of the individual PDFs.

I was really disappointed with this project. First, while I'm sure that a lot of work went into it, the artwork is very rough, almost appearing hand-drawn. I wish that I could have seen a preview because it would certainly have influenced my willi [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
