Can someone point me to how to load this into fantasy grounds step by step? I have looked at the information on the link in the PDF included with this Zip but it doesn't match what I see and I am getting frustrated. New to DnD and wanted to let my daughter try it out with me. This is the link I tried to use https://www.fantasygrounds.com/wiki/index.php/Loading_Modules

Ciao Joanne!
Here you have some instructions!
1. Open Fantasy Grounds and access the Fantasy Grounds files.
2. Move the main module and the players' module you downloaded from DMsGuild inside the "modules" folder, in the Fantasy Grounds files.
3. Move the portraits file in the "portraits" folder, in the Fantasy Grounds files.
4. After creating your D&D 5e campaign, load the modules from the Library by clicking on Library->Modules->Activation (from the sidebar)
5. Load also the Basic Rules that you already find in Fantasy Grounds
6. After loading the modules, you'll see all the contents, including Story, Images, Encounters, etc.
7. Done!

Video is also available here for download (no sound):

ho acquistato questa avventura per introdurre la mia cuginetta e i miei zii al gioco di ruolo, è stato divertentissimo e ci ha regalato tanti nuovi bei ricordi di Natale.
La mia cuginetta ha poi chiamato tutte le sue amiche e hanno deciso di giocare assieme, userà questa avventura per fare la sua prima esperienza da DM.
FORTEMENTE CONSIGLIATO!!!!

The version for FGU is missing the Story elements. At first I thought it was just not being provided and only the assets were being provide, so I went and purchased the PDF version so that I could read through the story. However when I opened the DM Map, all of the PIN elements have the header saying <> and the rest of the content was just blank. Is this going to be corrected? Not terribly happy about having to purchase the PDF in the end to be able to run the module only to find that the Story section was supposed to be included in FGU but was not.

I want to amend my previous comments - After posting my previous comment, I verified that the FGC version works perfectly, and so the content of the .mod is actually complete and normally a DM would not need to purchase the PDF in order to prepare the FG versions, unless they prefer to read the module in PDF format. As is evident in his response, the content creator was very quick to respond to my earlier concern and expressed a commitment to addressing the issue I faced with the FGU version of the .mod. Together with several other parents, I am looking to introduce my 7 and 10 year old daughters with some of their friends to one of my favorite hobbies and appreciate that there are content creators that are making it easy for me to do so. I will be using this .mod together with FGU to create a learning and cooperative environment for young children to enable them to socialize from a distance and develop skill that they would otherwise need a playground to develop, something which is not practical under the...See more

Hello Leo,

Thank you for getting the issue corrected so quickly. The current version 1.1 for FGU works like a charm and I am looking forward to running it for a group of 10 year olds who are new to D&D. This will indeed be their First Adventure! I am looking forward to your future content.

Best regards and Ciao,

Jacob

It says in the introduction that the adult characters in this mod are different from the originals and that they can be adjusted if I have the PHB, I do have it but I don't know what to adjust.

Ciao Amr M! Thank you for asking!
The adult characters on the mod are slightly different from the ones in the original PDF because the talents and backgrounds usable in the free version of dnd5 (the one which is included in the basic Fantasy Grounds license) are very limited compared to the ones actually usable in the regular (PAY) version of the rules.
When I firstly devised First Adventure's PDF I created the PGs using all feats, backgrounds and traits from the regular version of the rules. Then, when me and Alberto did the conversion for FG, I decided to change slightly the PGs to help everyone to enjoy the adventure even if they did not have any PAY dnd5 contents at all.
Anyway, the differences for the PCs are minimal, like:
1- TINA Not a Life Domain Cleric but a Knowledge Domain Cleric. Feat: KEEN MIND
2- MIRKO Feat: Sharp Shooter
3- JEFF: Feat: Observant
4- ELIA: Not a Thief Archetipe but a Swashbuckler
5- BRANDO: no changes
6- ANDREW: Feat: War caster...See more

Is this module meant for kids or can it be used as a kickoff for a campaign with more seasoned players? Either way I will be getting as I have use for both

Ciao Cameron, thank you for reaching and for buying!!!!!
The module is meant to be usable in both situations. It can be a one-shot, the star of a campaign for veterans or for kids.
The style you decide to run it, it is totally up to you: more scary, more gritty, more fun, it depends also on your preferences and interpretation as a Dungeon Master. Find your style and conjugate the module accordingly: you cannot be wrong!
Hope you will enjoy it!!!

Ciao MN, good morning from Italy.
Thank you for buying and for reaching!
You are right: the FGU version is for Unity. The other one is for Classic. If you load both of them you will have duplicate assets, sure.
Essentially the Player's MOD file has to be sent to players and they must load it themselves. Inside they can find the characters sheets pf the PGs.

Thank you for the advice. Sorry for the poor explanation. I will amend it today preparing a readme file with the instructions and change the filenames to make them easier to understand.
Have a nice day and I hope you and your players will enjoy First Adventure!!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
