Legendary Bestiary: Legendary Actions for Low-Level Monsters

Legendary Bestiary

Create Legendary Moments at Any Level!

Legendary actions are one of the best features of Dungeons & Dragons fifth edition—but why limit yourself to just a few legendary monsters? This supplement offers legendary action options for low-level monsters to keep your players on their toes.

What's Inside?

This supplement is ready to use at your table with little prep time. We have presented legendary actions for all CR 1–3 creatures and NPCs in the Monster Manual.

We've also included a d20 roll table for naming legendary creatures in case you need to pull something out at the last moment.

We've included a printer-friendly version of the PDF as well, so you can keep these in your DMing materials.

Finally, as a thank you to our patrons, there are discount links to 5 other fifth edition supplements from the authors—thank you!

This is such a great idea, brilliantly executed and easy to use. I foresee this becoming a regular part of my DMing to help make every session a little more unique and unexpected for my players. In the past, I've sometimes just tried to beef up a [...]

This one is a game-changer and a super fun way to turn relatively run-of-the-mill encounters into genuine challenges. I've had a blast surprising my players with an especially nasty goblin, gnoll, or spider in a bossfight, with the ensuing fights [...]

Absolutely a fantastic and easy to use supplement. Let's face it, ogres get boring. The ogre chief should have a little something extra up his sleave other than max hp and a cocky perosnality. This product fixes that problem. Rinse an [...]

I want to clarify now that my review here isn't hyperbolic, because my praise for this title is going to be incredibly high. This product is pretty down-to-business, so if you're looking for something full of flowery prose and flavor, look el [...]

We had the pleasure of covering this on our D&D Podcast Crit Academy. It's a fantastic addition to any Dungeon Masters toolbox. If you're like me and often want to add a bit of complexity to your monsters, this is certainly a weapon you [...]

Original electronic
Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
