Greenbird's Cursed Inventory

Suggested Price $1.50

Step right up! Greenbird is hosting a sale of all manner of magical items! Cleaning brooms, magical swords and shields, tomes of forbidden turnip lore... we have everything you need, as long as you don’t mind a little curse along the way!

This volume includes 30 cursed items – some humorous, some nasty, some tragic. All are readymade to be put into your adventures – whether as a lure, or a misfortune that has fallen upon an unhappy character, leading to an abundance of new quests.

  • Greenbird’s Cursed Inventory offers thirty cursed items to inflict upon your characters – curses range from mildly annoying, to life threatening, to potentially apocalyptic.
  • We’ve included lots of creative curses – these are not just stat penalties, they can serve as an adventure hook, or a full-sized quest-line.
  • Meet Fizzlebang Wonderbung – a traveling merchant, ready to sell all manner of strange, totally-not-cursed items. Fizzlebang comes with a neat d20 table of magic items in his inventory.
  • Ok, so there’s a helmet that gives you awful haircuts, a sausage that turns you into a swine, a sword that awakens the undead and... oh... oh, an anxious, trapped spell book!

If you enjoy our cursed inventory, we can offer you some less malefic items:

Artifacts of the Old World is a huge project we recently collaborated on. It includes dozens of famed artifacts, some mythological, some historical, from the European continent:

When it comes to battling curses, clerics are the professional’s choice. Why not buff them up with some of our Cleric’s Chosen Items? -

We’ve also made more nefarious items for those who have friends on the other side – check out Warlock’s Wicked Weapons! -

This supplement has definitely been put to good use in my games. The druid tiefling in my ongoing CoS campaign must now read aloud from the Tome of Tremendous Turnips each time he talks or acts during the next two weeks. I told him I expect insightful, meaningful and enlightening quotations about turnips every single time.

Thanks, Green Bird RPGS!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
