Happy Little Treants

In the deep, dark woods, not everything is as it seems. A mystifying curse has been placed on the protectors of the forest, the treants, and a call for help goes out from an unlikely source. Can the adventurers solve the mystery and restore the treants before it’s too late?

2sjhdrY.png“There's nothing wrong with having a tree as a friend.” – Bob Ross

This adventure is inspired by American painter Bob Ross and his pure joy for the wonders of nature. It’s intended to be played with younger members in the party, young Dungeon Masters who might be running one of their first adventures, or anyone who has simply found themselves enraptured by Bob Ross and The Joy of Painting

Thank you to my sister Bianca Bickford, without whom this adventure wouldn’t have been possible.

I had a lot of fun playing this with my kid! Growing up watching Bob Ross, it was really cool getting to share this with my kiddo, and thank you to the creator for making such a cool adventure. I wrote a review at TTRPGkids (link below), and only hav [...]

I played through "Happy Little Clouds" and enjoyed that so much, I bought this one as well! And I am not disappointed. The original take on the treants, and the role-playing opportunities are really fun. The writing is clear, and gives the [...]

Happy Little Treants was one of the first adventures I ever DMed and the first adventure I DMed for an in-person group; most of the players were also new to D&D. The information in this product is super well laid out so a DM of any experience level [...]

I loved this one shot so much! It's so cute and heartwarming, I DMed for adults and they loved it :) A real feel good adventure (although with some sad notes). I let one of the players bond with the squirrel and they now have it as a pet <3 [...]

Great little adventure for kids. I played with my 4 and 9 year old (we do more of a "choose your own adventure" with a few straight D20 rolls to add some chance). It was especially nice to find an adventure that wasn't filled with comb [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
