Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic- Arthur C. Clarke

Artifice is woven into the very fabric of Eberron, and now it can be woven into your campaign as well! This book contains 8 new artificer subclasses

  • Arcane Saboteur
  • Delver
  • Jetstep
  • Wordsmith
  • Minimancer
  • Strongarm
  • Grenadier
  • Spell Scavenger

As well as new spells and infusions for the artificer class!

"This is a seriously awesome and diverse array of artificer specialisations relating to Eberron and the various role they play in society. The quality and utility of each specialisation are spectacular with each one feeling unique and special, fitting a specific use, player type and party."

Quick question, at what point can i use the Minimancers self destruct function on the minibots? The book just says
"As a reaction, you can command a minibot within 60 feet of you to carry out one of the functions below" which makes sense for the protect function, but no trigger is specified for the Self destruct function, does that mean i can just make my minibot explode whenever i like using my reaction?

Also, isn't an entire 5d6 5 feet AOE each round a bit strong for 5th level? I feel like you meant for its use to be rarer, but with the rules written the way they are, i think i can just use downtime days to stock up on a buttload of idle minibots, activate one as a bonus action, and then command it to self destruct every round.

Or is there something in here that i am missing?

Hi friend, creator here
Please dont forget you can only make 1 minibot until 6th level and you can only have 3 total at level 15. So its not as busted as it sounds
Thank you for reading ^^

"You can have a number of minibots active equal to your artificer level divided by 3, rounded down."

That is what is written, but i see what you are saying, i assume you mean that limit applies to idle minibots as well, which would put your maximum at 6 at level 18, but your max would be 2 at level 6, which is significantly less broken.

Still not sure about when i can use that ability though, no trigger is specified.

Is it meant to be a better version of the attack option? they both sacrifice the minibot, but while the attack option does 3d6+int to one target, the self destruct does 5d6 to multiple targets, and you can do it regardless of the primary function, i feel like there is no reason left to make an attack minibot at this point.

Looking at the sample file, the Delver archetype lacks a 5th level feature. Otherwise, this seems really nice

Looks like layout imps carried it off. The 5th level feature is missing, and will be added back in tonight!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
