I just wanted to come in and say that my character recently died in Curse of Strahd unexpectedly, and I took a character idea I've had for a while and applied it to this race, and it fits perfectly. Basically a tiny cowboy, with huge guns and a giant animal companion (a giant boar). He also has an oversized mace he took from a goliath, lol. Fighter/Ranger combo.

I took the mischievous nature of these guys and ran with it: basically he and his friends were plane hopping and one thought it'd be funny to teleport him to some demiplane of dread (Strahd's place) rather than the material plane where they were headed. Needless to say he was not happy.

I'm having a ton of fun with all the gimmicks (I picked wham-o and it's a great visual with the giant mace), and my team mates are like this is so wacky, I love this concept, haha. Strahd doesn't know what's coming for him.

I had a great time playing this race, as I usually dm a serious type of campaign and play serious personalities this was a nice change of pace. Had to make a oathbreaker paladin and chaotic evil, but I played them like a ignorant toddler of the world and had them act as if they were the big bad. It was just a oneshot bust Twist Tongue the devil Liar will be back.

How do calculate a Namr’s AC if the Namr’s class is a monk?

Are there Tiefling version of this race?

Not really, you'd just be playing a Tiefling that looks like a Namr then at that point. That seems more like a flavor decision on the Player or DM's part rather than a mechanical difference (At this time anyway).

So why is there a 2.0 and a 2.1? I can't find a difference between the 2 versions.

2.1 Had a mistake, 2.2 is out. Use that one.

By 'you always appear 5 feat behind them' in Where'd They Go?, do you mean that your movement shadows theirs, or that there is an illusion of you there?

As another note, you use 'Fear' a lot when the condition is 'Frightened', and Wildtake has no clause for when the Frightened condition ends.

An update has adjusted this accordingly.

"Where'd They Go" has your Namr mimicking the creature's movement in such a manner that they attempt to stay out of the creature's sight.

"Wildtake"'s frightened effect ends at the end of the Namr's next turn.

Might i ask what opted the change to the base race getting a negative ability score? Seems like a weird change to me. Most races in 5e don't tend to have negatives. Seems a bit off considering there is a feral option already. Other then that i really love your work so far. I hope this means we'll see a Binn Redux.

That hasn't changed, they always had a Wisdom Negative even in the first edition. They have alot of other benefits that having a negative in something seems only fair in order to keep features like Heavy Weapons Proficiency and Density Shift within the base stats. Plus it fits the lore of the race, the Namr are not the brightest due to their chaotic nature and are prone to making irrational decisions.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
