The Witch

ADD TO WISHLIST >

A black haired elf, with a cloak of dark raven feathers steps from the shadows, muttering in a language beyond your comprehension as she summons darkness itself. Screams follow, but not for long, as soon utter silence fills the dark void. Lost within a dark forest, you send your raven familiar to fly straight up, Looking through its eyes, you take in the lay of the land, and guide your party through. Warning them of upcoming dangers. The battle turns bloody, and your friends are falling left and right. You begin to cackle loudly, pointing your finger at the one responsible, commanding him to die. Is that a glimmer of surprise on your face, as he actually drops dead, drained from all life.

The Witch is a class build around dark magic, with spells similar to those of the Warlock. With this class you don't stand alone, you are or were part of a Witch Coven. Your choice in coven influence the special abilities that you gain as part of this class. Do you focus on raw destruction of fire magic by joining the Coven of the Dragon, or do you embrace your dark side, learning all about Necromancy in the Coven of the Grave Keeper. You could also join the Coven of the Wild and wander the forest alongside the beasts that dwell there. Or perhaps you wish to commune with the spirits of the past, asking your ancestors for guidance by joining the Coven of the Ancestor.

Part of this class is the addition of Hexes. Curses with both good and evil effects. Do you learn hexes that aid you and your allies in combat or do you want to use them to drain your enemies from life and expose their vulnerabilities.

Perhaps you always wanted to have a hint of herbalism within your class, and actually make proper use of that herbalism kit. This class allows you to brew your own potions. How elaborate a potion crafter you are, well that depends of your choice of coven. Unless you have a kind DM that allows you to learn more crafting recipes as you travel the land.

The link when purchased takes me back to this page. The synopsis seems good, I'd like to read it and see how playable it is. Please let us know when repaired.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
