This set is 100% exactly what I was looking for! When I saw the price of plastic minis, I looked to paper minis. I hadn't seen and I liked, and was planning to edit down an 8 page document I found online somewhere to make it work.

Once I found this art, I knew I had to have it. I ran my first Phandelver session last night, and all everyone was talking about was these minis!

I folded them differently than suggested then laminated each one. They're beautiful and durable.

I actually just bought all of your other sets now. You can never have enough minis. Now I just have to cut them all out and get to laminating lol.

Thank you, Damien. You did great work and have made my game much more enjoyable for my party!

The only issue is that I think my PC's want to make their own, and I'm sure they won't be as good as these!

This set is absolutely stunning!

I've been playing with Lego Minifigures up until now, but I'm rapidly running out of ways to explain why, for example, a police officer is actually a skeleton. My players are loving the art work too.

I do have one query, however, why is Reidoth (the druid found in Thundertree in part 3) missing? It's the only missing character that I've found so far, and shall fall back to using Lego for him, but thought I would point it out in case this was an oversight.

As to the Druid, I think at the time I decided not to include 'non combatant' NPCs (if attached he turns into a Squirrel and flees!) as (honestly) a purely time saving exercise, BUT... After reading through that chapter again, perhaps I'll include him in the next update.

Would be good to have the whole set without the black background for each mini (so as to save black ink when printing). Maybe can be another file in the download so that those who prefer without black background can use that.

The instructions are for ADOBE READER, unfortunately you can't actually edit the file in photoshop or Gimp.
You can however turn the layers off and on in Reader (with different folding and presentation options).

Hey man. these are great and I'm busy cutting out and getting them ready for use very soon. I printed on 200 gsm card so nice and sturdy. Will be a great addition to our adventure.

You mention plastic stands for the miniatures and I was wondering where you might get these? I've been scouring the internet and cant find anything that would suit as you mentioned.

As to stands, a company called Litko has a great range of products, but if you simply do a search for 'Paper Miniature Bases' in Amazon (which is probably your most reliable postal option at the time of this comment due to Covid) you'll get a tonne of options by different companies. There's some cool 'wavy' slotted stands which are good for lighter print papers but the A frame 'clamp' and round style with extruded ridges might be better for heavier card (like yours I think) You might want to double check what size card they are designed to grip against your final prints. Good luck- let me know what you go with!

Hey, I love this set. I'm going to purchase and print it tonight. A few questions though.

Would these be possible to print on cardstock? I don't see a problem myself, but I notice some other sets seem to have mention adjustments for different papers.

And also, are you guys going to make sets for other modules? I'd like to keep the aesthetic going through all of my adventures, so I was hoping you guys were going to continue your work.

These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
