Player’s Handbook: Library of Lost Spells

Suggested Price $0.50

Basic Information:
This fully hyperlinked PDF-file contains 10 new lost spells of yore and yonder as an extension to the spells already described in the Player’s Handbook. Directly born out of our own campaigns, these lovingly crafted spells are henceforth made available here to be used in your epic adventures as well.

Additional Notes:
This document contains new options for all spellcasting classes, including the Artificer and Way of the Four Elements Monk! The spells range from 0th-level (Cantrips) to 5th-level. Most are entirely original but some spells are actually reworked from older editions instead.

Whole adventures might resolve around some of the spells described in this product. In fact, I have done so myself. I intend to release another Curse of Strahd supplement that features the Consecrate/Desecrate spell heavily further down the road while Mindshape Beast was revised from the amazing 'Remains of the Empire' 4e adventure (see Other Content below).

I intend to release more spells for this product in the near future as well (I have ideas for at least 2/3 more spells). A dozen spells sounds like a good number. However, we’ll need to playtest the spells first so I’ve got no timeline for these yet.

Other Content:
A fantastic guide to Druidic, the secret language of the Druids, can be found here:

Remains of the Empire is an amazing 4e adventure for 4th-level PC in which they can obtain their own flying Warwing Drake (what's not to like?). You can find it here:

Version 1.2 of this title is now available. New in this version:

  • Consecrate/Descecrate has been added to the Warlock spell list and the spell lists of Cleric and Paladin are updated to reflect that the spell is, in fact, 2nd-level
  • Hyperlinks have been added to the whole document (click on the ^ symbol next to a title to go back to the spell lists)
  • No more spelling mistakes (hopefully)

Keep that feedback coming!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
