Welcome to an adventure in the Spies Below the Moonsea series of Underdark adventures! This adventure can be played as entirely stand-alone.

Spies Below the Moonsea Header Image

Are you ready to turn the tables and enact a devious ambush against drow slavers? Do you want to visit a tavern run by an illithid? Have a run in with a dwarf battlerager? This is your chance!

The simmering conflict between the freedom fighters of House Tor’Erhyl and the Lolth-serving slavers of House Ouss’Nassath has reached its boiling point.

Following the recent assassination of a sword dancer, Matron Tor’Erhyl makes a bold plan to strike back where it hurts most – the slave shipments.

Yet this not merely a mission of vengeance – it’s one of mercy and liberation.

This is a 2- to 4-hour adventure for 5th to 10th level characters.

To aid your ambush planning, the following are included with the adventure:

  • Printable portrait cards with roleplaying tips for important NPCs
  • Reference Maps
  • Sights Below the Moonsea: A Guide to the Zethlentyn Protectorate - this short lore supplement is included with all Zethlentyn-related adventures.
  • Additionally, the entirety of the adventure if viewable via preview.
About the Spies Below the Moonsea series

This series of adventures deals with the Zethlentyn Protectorate – a city-state in the Underdark. Adventures in this series can be played without knowledge of the others and in any order. This is the third adventure in the series and can easily be played on its own. If combining it with others, it wraps up one of the major story arcs of Spies Below the Moonsea when used as a concluding adventure to the events of House of Moonlight and House of Revenance

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
