“Demi-God Class Option” is the second of three new class instalments that seeks to explore new player options, from both a narrative and mechanical standpoint, reimagining the sorcerer class in the process. At first glance, the sorcerer class is the best thematic fit for a character who is the offspring of a divine being, but it doesn’t fit the Herculean archetype that might motivate players to create such a character. The demi-god is a fun alternative, with subclass specific alternatives for the draconic bloodline and divine soul sorcerous origins, that feels suitably epic because of class features like legendary action and legendary resistance.

Clerics and Paladins may wield divine magic, but a Demi-God’s power is their own. Your martial might is bolstered by innate abilities, courtesy of your divine heritage. By choosing a divine origin when you take this class, you differentiate yourself from other mortal beings. Part celestial, dragon, fey, or fiend, your blood is ancient and your presence otherworldly.
