Dungeon Masters, immerse players in your world by bringing the non-player characters to life (again), now for Fantasy Grounds!

A follow-up to the best-selling Adaptable NPCs, book two is even bigger and better! Contained within this supplement are 110 NPCs with unique statblocks, each with custom art, lore, and a game stats balanced for the 5e Challenge Rating system.

Additionally, 12 short adventures have been included. These adventures have been created for Dungeon Masters to introduce their players to some of the Adaptable NPCs with minimal preparation. Each adventure has high-resolution printable battle maps created by Justin Andrew Mason (DM & Player versions are included), an adventure background, a recommend party level, and room descriptions with encounters (both combat and roleplaying) utilizing NPCs from this supplement and the 5e monster manual.

Reviews

"One of Adaptable NPCs II's biggest strengths is how the supplement inspires storylines and sidequests." Comicbook.com

"If you don't have a copy of this book and its predecessor, you are making a mistake. Filled with amazingly well created NPCs, all decked out with lovely art and laid out wonderfully." - Comics, Clerics, & Controllers

"An absolute MUST have for any DMs tool kit! These monsters have fantastic lore and great combat mechanics!" - Crit Academy

"Truly an incredible tome full of every kind of NPC, BBEG & BFF from the lowliest vagabond and deserter, through warriors, mages, heroes, Demons and Devils of every stripe, flavour, setting and magnitude, all the way to an Archfiend, Deity, their minions, messengers, champions and dark lords; every one of them filled with enough flavour to grow an encounter, adventure, arc and/ or campaign." - Curse of Sebs

"This is a very impressive work! Chock full of NPCs benign and malign. In the first few pages alone, I got a dozen different story ideas." - R.P. Davis

Chris T, are you perhaps using the classic version in Unity? (or vice-versa) If you are, the maps will not appear.

You need to make sure to only have the correct version in your modules folder so that the program loads that version of the module. The maps are appearing correctly if you use the correct version of the module.

Problem solved. I unzipped the entire bundle into the module folder. This caused the conflict with the Unity and Classic versions. Thanks for the help!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
