A Wandering Pilgrim Games Product

Within the rough and tumble area known as the Western Expanse, there lies the small town of Tall Pines. Not all is well in Tall Pines, however, as the local Cooper Gang has taken control and made life difficult for its occupants.

Now, it is up to you and your party to stop the Cooper Gang and it's deadly leader, Jeremiah Cooper. Can you save Tall Pines? Or is the town doomed to live under Jeremiah's iron fist?

"To Live and Die in Tall Pines" is an adventure for characters of level 1 to 4 using the Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition ruleset.

As Volume 1 of the "Red Rock Adventures", To Live and Die in Tall Pines, is the first foray into the wilds of the Western Exapanse. Set to be completed in roughly 6 to 9 sessions, this stand alone adventure module is designed as either an opening to a new campaign or as a filler arc for an already established campaign. Within this product, you'll find three chapters outlining the main story as well as an appedix detailing the main enemies and allies you may face.

in the introduction to the adventure it mentions there are 3 other adventures in this module: Pale Noon, A Bad Day at Rock Creek, and Where the Snow Falls, but I can't find those anywhere. Do they exist?

Hey Daniel,

Unfortunately, those extra adventures do not exist currently, life got a little hectic and they were pushed to the back burner. There are still plans to finish them, they are just a little lower on the list. Thank you for asking!

I'm excited to try out this module! I did find a mistake however—it seems to be missing the stat block for Anabel, even though the text mentions that it should appear later. Also the Outlaws have a passive perception of 1, which is probably supposed to be 10 (unless they're really that incompetent)

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
