I loved the entire Heir of Orcus series. I bought and ran the series multiple times for my friends and they're hooked to the plot of the story. Is there any news if there will still be a Verse V and VI?

Timothy, thanks for supporting me and this series! I am looking into ways to finish the series with Verse V and VI while still being AL legal. The end of the CCC program threw a wrench into my plans so it’ll take me some time to consider how to best proceed.

Was there any luck with a FG conversion or at this point is it simply not gonna happen? I loved this series and added it into my homebrew campaign and I would love for my players to continue it. The worst case scenario is a lot of images will be uploaded to our discord and theater of the mind! still a wonderful series.

Sorry Doug, I’ve looked into this and it doesn’t make financial sense for me to pay to convert this to FG. I’m truly sorry.

All the art assets are included so you can use on any VTT though.

Any chance of a Fantasy Grounds conversion for this, like was done for the rest of the series?

I ran this adventure earlier today for a table of 7 players APL6 at Con of Champions. The party completed Story Objectives A and B within the event time (four hours) and didn't progress to the Bonus Objectives. The game was a lot of fun, and the party found the combat challenging (and potentially deadly). They messed around with the sanity system and were suitably annoyed with Ser Titus by the end! A couple of the characters had story awards from the previous adventures in the series. I also ran this recently at Maydays Charity Convention in a two-hour timeslot where the party completed the same objectives as the party in the four-hour timeslot. In the two hour game, I gave the party the challenge to complete the objectives within the shorter timeslot and it was definitely possible to do so. I had also run this adventure in the week prior with five players, and they finished the same objectives within 3.5 hours. So I have these bonus objectives prepped in Roll20 but haven't run them in any of the last...See more

The first major map seems to have two C8 sections and no C6.

Thanks for pointing that out, it slipped through our defenses!!!! C6 is the location on the right most side of the map, so the "C8" on the far right is actually "C6". I'll make sure we update that in our next patch for the pdf.

Hey, I've been following Heir since the first one dropped. I'm impressed that it is up to five volumes now. Do you have plans to take the Heir of Orcus to higher-level tiers of play? I'm sure you have some eventual conclusion involved that deals with the Heir, Orcus and the Abyss. I would love to see a higher level adventure where you can really cut loose with the demons and go high stakes.

I’ve been thinking a lot about this. So I do have plans to conclude this series with higher level adventures. I’m not 100% how or when I’ll do that. The AL CCC process has changed a little and I’m trying to figure out the best way to do this. Whatever the case, this series won’t end here.

I’ve been unable to find a flat rate FG Converter this time around. Due to AL restrictions, I cannot segregate a FG product and PDF product, they must be together. Being the case, I can’t afford to give away a large percentage of my royalties (as is the case for the majority of FG conversions) for such a niche market. I’d simply lose too much money. However, if there are any flat rate FG Converters out there, I’d happily consider having one made.

Isn't Cthulhu still copyrighted, and part of the reason why old TSR book was pulled?

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
