This is a module and extension for the Fantasy Grounds VTT.

Adding sounds to your Fantasy Grounds game just got easier.

The amazing soundscapes created for your 5e adventures by the wizards over at Syrinscape are now available to trigger directly within Fantasy Grounds.

This product, along with a SuperSyrin or D&D Subscription from Syrinscape, allows you to trigger and play the official 5E D&D adventure soundsets from Syrisncape directly from within the Fantasy Grounds interface.

This product includes a Fantasy Grounds module to augment the Waterdeep Dragon Heist adventure by WotC.

The included WDH supplement contains organized links to all of the official Syrinscape sounds created for Waterdeep: Dragon Heist.

Syrisncape contains Official soundsets for some of your favorite adventures including Curse of Strahd, Waterdeep: Dungeon of the Mad Mage, Waterdeep: Dragon Heist, Baldurs Gate: Descent into Avernus, Lost Mine of Phandelver, Ghosts of Saltmarsh and much, much more.

The use of this product requires Syrisncape.
This product is compatible with both Fantasy Grounds Classic and Unity. 
It is also compatible with all of the Syrinscape players (Online, Fantasy, Sci-fi, and Boardgame).

You choose which way you want to use this for your game sounds!
Syrinscape contains thousands of sound links organized by sound set and ready to trigger with just a click.
Only the sounds YOU OWN on Syrinscape will work, and if you have the SuperSyrin Subscription you will then be able to trigger all sounds.
Otherwise, only the sounds you own will work.

This one-time purchase will include all future updates for free.

The Sound Links module included contains a limited selection of sounds intended for getting set up. 

You can update your sound links module at any time for free using the Syrin2FG website (URL included in the documentation). 

The updated sound links module will contain links to all sounds that you own within Syrinscape, including any custom sounds created in the Syrinscape Online soundset creator.

Hello all -- need some help here. I'm pretty sure I have everything installed and toggled correctly and the mod has loaded. I also have the full subscription to SyrinScape and the Online App is running in the background. I also copied and applied my authentication token. First attempt at playing a syrinscape sound in FGU created this error...... any thoughts?

[ERROR] Script execution error: [string "scripts/manager_sounds.lua"] attempt to concatenate field 'authToken' (a nil value)

Hello!
Is this module and extension all that is needed to stream sound/music to the players though FG? or does it need a 3rd party app like VLC/cleenfeed?
If this extension handles that part as well I'm definitely buying it!

I've been looking into various options for integrating sounds with my Fantasy Grounds Unlimited games and I finally settled on Syrinscape Online plus these extensions. It's not the cheapest, but it was BY FAR the best of the ones I tried.

A short version of what it does:
You have the Syrinscape online player running alongside your game (your players need to install and run the player too, but it is a free download for them).

You can select a wide variety of predefined soundscapes in Syrinscape Online. You get access to a few for free, can buy more or can subscribe monthly to get access to everything. They have a LOT of good packs - for example, most of the 5E campaign packs have associated soundscapes ready to run. About to send a party into Tresendar Manor cellars in Phandalin? There's already a set of mixes to give ambient sounds, creaks, wind, groans and music set up for you. Take a look in the instructions module again. The DMsGuild copy of the sounds is only updated when an extension update occurs. But in the instructions I detail how you can use my free Syrin2FG web-service to fully update your sounds module and keep it up-to-date.

None of the chat triggers produce a sound and the default sounds only play thru the web and not discord like the DOE sounds, is there a way to make the sounds go thru discord?

I am looking at introducing sounds to my FG games. I registered for the free on-line syrinscape (and downloaded fantasy player program), with this product, will I be able to play the free soundsets provided with my group? Also with the "New CSV importer" will that allow me to add my own sounds to my games? I am referring to sound effects, ambient music, etc that are not from syrinscape.

This product will allow you to play the free soundsets, but there will also be many sound links that will not work. The extension and Fantasy Grounds do not send the audio to your players. Those with a SyperSyrin subscription can use Syrinscapes Online player to automatically send sounds to players. Without the subscription, you can still trigger sounds on the DM's PC, but you will need additional software and setup to send it to your players. the CSV importer is only for importing sounds created within the Syrinscape Soundset creator. It does not handle sounds outside of syrinscape.

So if I don't have SyperSyrin subscription I can't get my group to hear sound on their end? What if they others have the free syrinscape or the on-line syrinscape, will that allow it ot work?

The SuperSyrin subscription is required to use the Syrinscape Online method to easily share the audio with your players. However, there are other free methods available and documented on the Syrinscape forums. They require you to install and configure various free software such as VoiceMeeter, discord, and cleanfeed. The Syrinscape Online method is just the easiest one I have found to set up and use.

After lots of messing around on the Mac, it seems that the only way to get this to work on the Mac is using the "OS Browser" option. That's fine, but every time, it opens it into a new tab on the browser I have open for SS Online. Anyway to have the extension send the URL so that it opens in the same tab/window each time?

Oh yeah, and by the way, this is FRIGGIN' AMAZING!

Unfortunately there is no way to control the launching behavior when a link is triggered. Fantasy Grounds hands it off to the Operating System to handle, so there is no way to control any behavior. I have a thread for this extension over on the Fantasy Grounds forums and several users have been able to get it working on Macs. If you’re using the Unity version then use this bridge app and the SS Online setting. It will pass the sound to the player and there be no need to have tabs open.

For All Unity users. I have just added a condensed version of the sound module to this. This sound module contains all of the Moods and One-shots, but excludes the music and sfx elements. This had a dramatic impact on loading time for me in Unity, dropping from over 9 minutes to under 30 seconds.

A subscription is not technically required, but you do have to "own" or have access to some of the sounds through your syrinscape account. The sound links to entries that you own will work fine, even without an active subscription. That said, a subscription is a great way to get access to a huge library of sounds, and the supersyrin subscription is required to allow players to connect and receive sounds that you push using the syrinscape online player.

Ok great, I can use it if I own the files from syrinscape. But even though I own them I would still have to have a subscription to allow other players to hear the sounds. I just wanted to make sure I understood how everything is working together.

The SuperSyrin subscription is required to use their Syrinscape Online player to send sounds to your players. There are other, more complicated methods available to get the sound to your players without it though. Typically they involve using applications like VoiceMeeter, cleanfeed, discord, etc to try to direct the audio through to your players. The SO player just makes it much easier.

i cant find the button in my library ... i have it loaded and i see in in my supplement section .... but at the top of the library i dont have the icon to click and have it pop up on the right of FGU ....

It sounds like you have the module loaded, but not the extension. On the launcher screen, make sure you select the extension before you open your campaign. When you open it, you should see a message in the chat window saying that the syrinscape extension was loaded.

I just purchased this ( as DOE appears to be discontinued and does not work with FGU anyway ) and I am missing something silly. I have purchased, installed, have it in FGU. a, a super-syren subscriber, have installed the on-line player, Linked the token.. modules installed.. I see no sounds on the list... I am sure I have made a mistake somewhere

Im going to need to remember to launch FGU WAY before the game starts, as it takes a long LONG time to load the sounds! Once loaded... works pretty darn good. I like it :) I will say that the on-line player version actually sounds better than doing it using Discord PTB as I did with DOE. and I like the way your program works.... good job!

If you are using the Fantasy or Sci-Fi player apps, make sure you change the setting in FG to the Genre player, otherwise it should be set to the Syrinscape Online. The popup means that your operating system does not know which app to send the triggered sound to. So if you have the online player launched, and its trying to trigger a link for the Fantasy player, it wont work.

I am able to make this work in the Syrinscape online player with the Syrinscape online option, but i can not get it to work with my local syrinscape fantasy player with the syrinscape genre option. I thought I just had to change over the option in settings, am I missing something?

Change over to the Genre player, make sure you have the Fantasy player open and have downloaded all of the relevant soundsets. There are some existing bugs with the fantasy/sci-fi players where not all links will work, regardless. Where possible, I generally recommend the online player.

These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
