This is a module for the Fantasy Grounds VTT. If you are looking for the PDF - click here.

Monster Manual Expanded II is the sequel to the best selling Monster Manual Expanded.  Just like the first book, this aims to provide Dungeon Masters more options and flexibility in designing adventures and dressing up their dungeons with a wider variety of creatures and characters that are based on the Monster Manual, Volo's Guide to Monsters, Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes, and many others.  Finally, it also adds variants that provide a nostalgic and classic feel that DMs experienced with the older editions are probably familiar with.

In total, there are 394 creature stat blocks in this book at the Dungeon Master's disposal!

Yes. It is currently being done. It's quite intensive and time-consuming.

Within FGU, I have downloaded and put the two .mod files into the modules folder and activated in the library, however, when I go into NPCs it only shows MMII NPCs and not the main module is this normal?

Please make sure that you have the latest version downloaded. If it's still a problem, please come to my discord for more timely help rather than making comments here.

Felipe is being roundabout. That snake artwork is stolen. If you had a freelancer turn it in as their own and they have done other products, I would reverse image search all their work because it's likely stolen as well.

Hey, I really love the artwork, couldn't avoid to see that awesome yellow snake in the example and would really like to know who the artist is. Awesome book guys!

Oh so you're telling me you're gonna ask the author about it or that should I? I'm honestly just being facetious. I'm actually the author of the image and the image is actually owned by Rhino Games for their game Mythgard. Better check twice who you hire.

Felipe.

We don’t hire anyone they hire us. It is an unfortunate situation, but all we do is CONVERT already published and approved material. We assume if it’s already published and approved by DMs Guild, we translate it.

Cool mod, is there a 1 or 2 page PDF with the NPCs indexed? Is there a way to extract from the .mod file the index so I can print it? I do a lot of my planning away from my PC and having a physical index to look at is very useful.

Hi could you please add support for FGU like for the MME_I which does work in FGU.

Support for FGU has been given to NEITHER, MME I just happens to work. Theoretically everything SHOULD work in unity, but during the beta release of Unity, no support CAN be given due to the nature of beta software having many (sometimes multiples in one day) changes. Upon the final release of unity, all DLC will work.

Minor thing I noticed. The artwork/token for Aspect of Lolth doesn't match the description of the creature. The token and image are of a scary stern drow priestess. It's really great art. But the description for the Aspect of Lolth says that it "...always appears as that of Lolth's drider-form or that of a horrid-looking huge spider with Lolth's strikingly beautiful head." The stat block matches the drider/spiderlady.
Love the monsters. Keep 'em coming!

Kyle:

I appreciate the comment, but that is the artwork on the same page with Aspect of Lolth, so as a conversion specialist and not an editor (or the original creator) my information tells me THAT's the picture. I see what you mean by the description, but that would be something to take up with the author of the PDF. I can't change his creation.

Yeah, that's what I thought. Just figured I would mention it in case it was crosslinked art or somesuch. Thanks. Loving it!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
