Red Larch 001: Elemental Evil

Suggested Price $4.00

Red Larch: Elemental Evil is an adventure that relies heavily upon the free supplement provided by Wizards of the Coast for their Princes of the Apocalypse adventure.  This requires the free supplement to be able to fully use this module.  This adventure provides monster statistics for each encounter and also provides expanded areas and side quests not in the free supplement.

This adventure was run as a home campaign for first level characters and PCs completing it can expect to be 6th level upon its completion.  The adventure contains the supplemental material needed and several new magical weapons and items.  Several of the monster statistics have been modified for slightly harder encounters and for easier play.

Hi Keith, thanks again for your modules, I find them very useful.
Re this one, if I have got this right I should be able to run this with this module plus the Princes of the Apocalypse free supplement.
I have downloaded the supplement, and I refer to page 10 of your adventure which states "Areas T1 and T2 are in the module and are straightforward and use as written" but I can't find them in the free supplement - Am I missing something?

Similarly in the What's Next section on page 11, it states "about what people know and who may be responsible. This is detailed in the module" but I am unclear if this is the full Princes of the Apocalypse adventure that is required or something else I am missing as I can't find any of this in the free supplement I downloaded from here:

Also are there maps for the locations in your adventure?

Finally (sorry for...See more

Thank you for asking about this. All you need is the free supplement to use this adventure. I do not own the full adventure and only used the free supplement to run this campaign.

T-1 and T-2 are on page 23 of the free supplement. T1 is the Entry Cavern and T2 is the Stone Sentinels room of the Tomb of Moving Stones section of the adventure. There are no monsters in these rooms and what is written is fine to use.

Page 28 in the Conclusion part of the free supplement talks about dealing with the aftermath of the Seekers part of the adventure. It explains some of what is going on and how the PCs can deal with it and how the town deals with the Tomb of Moving Stones section of the adventure. I put this in as a good roleplaying place to break the adventure and provide rest before continuing.

Thanks again. Just FYI the free supplement that wizards has available from here does not have T-1 etc - it only has stat blocks, magic items and spells.
After much searching I found a second supplement here that is the one you are referring to - - Google did not bring this one up when I searched for free supplement princes of the apocalypse.
I only foud it when I searched for free supplement princes of the apocalypse T-1

By the way It also shows up if you search for Introductory edition of the Princes of the Apocalypse rather than supplement.
It may be worthwhile adding the URL to your text above as it is hard to find the second document and could be confusing for some (that fact that Wizard's has two supplements) It was certainly confusing initially for me.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
