The Path of Fire - Last Minute Encounters

Last-Minute Encounters are ready-to-play encounters designed for DMs without planning time on their hands.  Simply assemble the map in the VTT of your choice, or print the fully-illustrated map using the included printable sheets.  Detailed instructions and read-outs will provide everything you need to run a fun encounter, even if you are reading them for the first time during your game!

“The Path of Fire” is a ready-to-play non-combat puzzle room that will give your players a challenging encounter.  The Path of Fire is perfect for adding to a variety of adventures and dungeons, and can be used for parties of most levels. 

This encounter is endlessly customizable and encourages players to devise a number of creative solutions.  This package comes with:

• Customizable map available with and without gridlines
• 32 image assets, including 16 online-ready images and 16 high-resolution images
• Print-ready sheets for tabletop use
• Endless pattern combinations for endless solutions
• Ready-to-play walkthrough instructions and “On Closer Inspection” descriptions to make running the encounter simple.

The puzzle consists of 6 colored burning braziers linked to a floor made of matching magical colored platforms.  Blocking the room’s exit on the other side of the floor is a barrier of magical force.  To escape, the party must use snuffers found at the entrance to the room to extinguish the braziers along either side of the floor.  The party must reach the braziers and navigate the floor as parts of the floor progressively vanish when the corresponding colored brazier is extinguished.  

Will the party figure out the solution before the fall, or will they be forever lost on the path?
