From the team that brought you the Convergence Manifesto,

Across Eberron presents the…

Title

This pocket guide for DMs, players, and content creators provides a concise overview of the fascinating world of Eberron. Within these pages, we've consolidated fifteen years of lore into one easy-to-read supplement.

What’s inside?

  • Quick reference. Highlights setting distinctives & summarizes the races, places, factions, and faiths of the Eberron setting.

  • Dig deeper. Each topic has a note to "Learn More," pointing to the most helpful chapters and articles on the topic, each carefully selected from dozens of sourcebooks and articles.

  • Keep setting secrets secret. We separate the major setting secrets from the main supplement in an appendix, allowing DMs to share Eberronicon with players without spoilers.

  • Read all the things. Eberronicon includes an extensive bibliography spanning fifteen years of Eberron content, including sourcebooks, articles, and adventures to help you explore the world. Plus, we’ve included summaries of each to easily find what you need.

  • Bonus print-friendly version. Read it on your computer with beautiful full color art, or print out the handy no-pictures, text-only version, great for quick reference at the gaming table.

Who’s it for?

  • Players creating characters, easily finding origins of interest, then diving into the official sourcebooks with our easy references.

  • Dungeon Masters in the middle of a session, because you don’t want to dig through a dozen books to find a single topic.

  • Content creators seeking intriguing locations and nefarious enemies for their next adventure.

Testimonials

  • “’What do you mean warforged aren't clockwork?’, ‘The airships are steampunk, right?’, ‘So here's the character sheet for my duster-wearing gunslinge—what? No guns??’ This primer is perfect for anyone playing in the Eberron campaign setting. Not only does it provide you with everything you need to know, but it’s also a roadmap to learning deep lore and history.” -Steve Fidler, electrum-bestselling creator of Prism: Light & Magic.

  • “An amazing resource for creators and DMs! The citations and lists of sources are invaluable.” -Imogen Gingell, platinum-bestselling creator of the School of Geometry.

  • “A handy resource for DMs to use for those on-the-fly History checks, or for anyone who wants a quick reference for all things Eberron. Why drink from a fire hose when you can enjoy the setting in bite-sized pieces?” -Justice Arman, platinum-bestselling creator of Devil's Advocate: A Guide to Infernal Contracts.

It has to sell enough copies digitally before DMs Guild let's the seller offer POD.

Hi! I noticed a small error in the text-only version of Appendix B. Eberron Campaign Guide is listed as coming out in 2019, and Rising from the Last War as 2009. This issue doesn't exist in the regular PDF. Just wanted to let you know!

Any chance of a phone PDF or EPUB to make it truly a pocket guide?

As helpful as the print-friendly PDF included is, I am a huge advocate for this becoming available for POD. I'm sure I'm not the only one who wants a physical pocket guide to the world sitting on their shelves for not just themselves but their players as well.

I sure hope either DM's Guild changes their POD rules soon, or this product gets an invitation. I'm 100% others like myself would also love a physical copy!

Will this receive an update for Exploring Eberron content?

It appears as though Wizards has deleted its archive of Eberron content from the mid-2000s (Dragonshards web articles etc), because the links don't work and haven't for the past few days (I ran across this problem first via Keith Baker's blog). If the content is truly gone it that presumably requires changes to the pdf to reflect it.

Hi Peter! We've been crossing our fingers and hoping it was just a temporary outage, but the extended downtime does not bode well. So as soon as I (Laura) get some time hopefully this weekend, we'll be pushing out an update that has Wayback Machine links instead. :)

Hi Marmus! We had not planned on it, since the supplement isn't mechanics-focused. But I (Laura) am very open to considering it, if you think folks could use it. Can you get in touch with us via Twitter @acrosseberron or email across.eberron at gmail and mention this exchange? I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Cheers,
Laura

I second this. Fantasy Grounds has a fantastic reference library. I would love to see this for quick reference links!

This could definitely be useful, as it makes it very easy to link from an NPC to a small paragraph about it's religion, region, race, etc. All useful things for the DM in the midst of a game.

Hey, there have been a couple of updates -- you're now at 1.03. If you don't mind, can you post a quick note here whenever you update so that we know what the changes are? Thank you!

Hi Tom, thanks for the note! Sure, we can do that going forward, we'd just been putting the update notes in the field DMsGuild provides but I'm not actually sure where you see that, if at all, sooooo.

The only changes that have happened so far were to fix broken hyperlinks and a couple typos. If anything more substantial happens, we'll also increment the numbers by more than 0.01. (e.g. we'll be updating when Keith's new book comes out, that'll be a major update).

Hi Tom, we found where you can view the changelog notes for yourself. In your Library view, there is an Updated column. Hover over the "i" icon on the updated date listed, and it will give you a complete changelog based on the notes we put in for each update. So we won't be needing to update with comments here, it's all shown automatically in your library for every purchased item. :)

I didn't even know that field existed. Thanks for the info. I do think it's still useful to include just the latest update's changelog in the product itself, if at least so those who haven't purchased the product can see what's changed (e.g. if someone is holding off on purchasing due to some issue that the latest update addresses), or simply see that the product is being kept up to date and well-maintained. But that's just my personal opinion.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
