Warlords of Avernus

Four new warlords for your Avernus campaign!

Warlords of Avernus includes four new warlords for you to plug in your Baldur's Gate: Descent into Avernus campaign! The warlords are:

  • Algoran – the Flesh Hunter – is a tulgar, a rare breed of extraplanar humanoids. From a disbanded band of mercenaries, Algoran created the Collectors of Souls, a warband of tulgars that wants to capture as many souls as they can with their infernal war machines equipped with soul spikes armor.
  • Carol d'Vown operates alone, in a sense, being the only living being of her group. Followed by a number of constructs of her own creation, the Mind-Eraser Alchemist wanders Avernus in a highly customized Tormentor.
  • Kolasiah – a medusa – and her group of loyal followers entered the first layer of the Nine Hells in search for power, and got it. However, the luck of the now Lost Golgari ended, and the group is now stuck in Avernus.
  • Lilxori is a cambion spawned by Zariel herself, created to deal with the many warlords that plague the wastelands of Avernus. Leading a group of devils known as the Warlord Hunters, Lilxori is merciless against those who don't show support against Zariel's cause in the Blood War.

Hi there

I was wondering how big the poison cloud of Carol's Styx Gas Poison is, as the PDF does not mention this

Hello there! The intended radius of the cloud is a 20-foot-radius sphere, just like the fog cloud spell.

Oh, thanks for the fast reply!

I am very willing to pay whatever increase having it professionally converted requires, there is already a lot of content and creators unwilling to produce a FG variant.

Thanks again for considering this

I have contacted a Fantasy Grounds publisher here on the Guild and now the product is on their backlog. I will comment here and add links to the FG version on the product once it is done!

Hey creators! Just was getting ready to make all of the monsters on the D&D Beyond Homebrew section of the website for my campaign. I was wondering about when I make them, seems obvious, but to be clear I should set all of the monsters to be private so that people purchase your creatures on DM's Guild?

If you would like them to be available, I don't mind making them in the homebrew section without the written content, artwork, or encounters? I of course woud provide a link to this page to purchase the full info and art about the monsters here. But would love to know so I could have them ready to go for any future folks.

You have to keep them private, as the license of the DMsGuild products doesn't allow reproduction of a product's content anywhere except within the Guild.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
