Sven's Adventures: Collector's Edition

"Cirria's Gambit delivers a fun, sandbox-style adventure with resources, tables, and encounters that could prove useful to DMs well beyond the scope of the one-shot. [...] The production values are unimpeachable [...] 4/5"Tal Aviezer for TT Level Up

"The adventure is one part sandbox soap opera, one part open world adventure game (feels like some of the CD ROM games I used to play as a kid) and one part role reversal as we see traditional fantasy tropes fall away from Cirria and Lady Kaera. The adventure is fantasticly laid out, with plenty of opportunities for improvisation and diverse encounters."—Cameron Day from Comics, Clerics, & Controllers

"The module gives you everything you need to really set the atmosphere of the party and help your players feel really immersed. The magic items are really cool too; in our next session, one of my players used the ring to create a mirror prison to capture a hag sister in, breaking the covens ability to do magic!"—Raven L. (Verified Purchaser)

So glad you could make it, welcome to the party! Cirria’s Gambit is a fiendishly fun feast for 2nd-4th level characters, designed for D&D 5E. I built this adventure into my homebrew campaign and really enjoyed it! My players didn't eat any of the food, so if you have a paranoid or careful party, you may not get to experiment with those effects. The module gives you everything you need to rea [...]

When Sven reached out to me to do a review of Cirria's Gambit, I was pumped, since I have reviewed a lot of Sven's other work and it is all stellar. What Sven has done is present a fantastic adventure with female leads that are not: A) swoonin [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
