Fai Chen has gone missing from Mahadi’s Traveling Emporium, and the merchant sends you a note asking you to rescue him. You’ll have to do it without angering the master of the emporium, whose protection is crucial to your sacred mission. But in the Nine Hells, how much can you really trust someone you call friend?

Ran this for AL at my LGS this week for the first time. I've been running this season for the first time as a series of adventures and I've had at least one or two consistant players during most of it. The adventure is well written, and it could have been the group, but I felt there was too much combat for a four hour adventure to get to the final battle. I know that you can avoid combat in the tent in part one, but my party was a bit run in and hit things, so I had to expedite the ending after the fight over the lava pit. If I were to run it again, I would cut the wraith in the main chamber and merely add a trap in the main room.
The only other gripe I have with this adventure is the trapped chest in the tent. As it is located inside the Emporium, there is no reason for the characters to merely find Burney and spend 450 gold to have greater restoration cast on them. The negative effect was neutered in 5 minutes real time.
I would have put this effect on the door in part 2, or something similar....See more

So clarification on the story award. It says here that it's specific only to T2 adventurers. But a similar story award can be found in the T3 series that alters its wording (and changes the story award dramatically).

Am I correct to assume that this means the T2 version and does not have any weight in the higher tiers?

Clarification regarding the soul coin. In AL, are soul coins found in the mod awarded to each player? or will players roll for them?

I am having the same issue with this one - there is a potion of superior healing listed on 1 page and a potion of greater healing listed on another for what should be the same thing - which is it. Also do not see anywhere that specifically awards the potion or says where you find it. It is denoted for the Potion of Growth if it was available to them and there is a potion of poison found and denoted. But there is another spot where there is a potion of potion made by a hag. Does the one from the hag (if it is procured) become the potion of poison from the game and the other potion that is found is actually the Either Greater or Superior potion. - doesn't make a lot of sense.

Greetings. There are inconsistencies regarding some of the consumable potion rewards throughout this module. The rewards page 13 lists one type of healing potion, the appendix 11 page 34 lists a different type of healing potion, and the appendix 1: bonus objective A page 24 lists a possible potion reward that isn't mentioned one either of the other rewards pages. Can you clear up which of these are rewarded or are all of them rewarded?

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
