Glyph Magic - Arcane Tradition for Wizards

Suggested Price $1.25

While many wizards learn to harness the magic to cast powerful spells, practitioners of glyph magic learn to create arcane symbols to store their spells for a limited time and release them at a moment when it is needed. These practitioners are commonly known as glyph casters and their practice requires both patience and time. Although time-consuming, glyph magic has proven valuable in creating arcane protection and war.

Glyph Caster

Becoming a specialist in the so-called glyph magic teaches you a ritual that allows you to create powerful glyphs and bind spells in them to cast later. These glyphs grant you a tactical advantage over other spellcasters, but they are not without their limitations.

This product also includes two new feats that can empower any arcane spellcaster with the ability of arcane glyph scribing, as well as empower those who have already been introduced to the art.

I really like this subclass (and I love the idea of spellcasters preparing themselves through excess warding).
But in its current form it is OP and I wouldnt allow it in my game.
Glyph caster allows you to have up to 5 of your most powerful spells that you can trigger as a bonus action (so you could prepare 5x times stuff like meteor storm or psychic scream).
My idea would be that you could maybe make it dependent on the power of the spells you want to store: You can create as many glyphs as you want as long as the combined spell level of the glyphs isnt above 5 * your intelligence modifier (or something similar) any Glyph cant have a spell of above 6th level cast in it.
Also there should some need for upkeep: After a long rest you need to expend spellslots with a combined spell level of up to the level of the glyphs you currently control or they will instantly trigger.

(Also there are options for spells with attack rolls but you say that glyphs always target themselves, if...See more

Thank you so much for the comment. These are all excellent ideas and I'm definitely going to look into how I can incorporate them and do the necessary fixes :D

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
