A Martial-Focused Urban Druid Subclass

Based in Waterdeep or the homebrew city of your choice

This druidic subclass is meant to provide a fun and flexible alternative specifically designed for urban campaigns. It lends more of a martial slant to druids without relying on Wild Shape.

You'll also find a fey pug druidic mentor/sidekick and a new wild companion options for druids, the jewel fox!

Special Introductory Offer! For the first two weeks, this title will be available for $1, after which the price will increase.

Many across Faerûn are familiar with the Emerald Enclave, a far-reaching collective of druids, rangers, fey, and nature-loving individuals who seek to protect the balance between the natural world and civilization. However, as the Enclave evolved, a gap widened between the political will of the Lord’s Alliance and individual city-states and the Enclave itself. Whose responsibility were the wilds beyond political boundaries? Who should oversee green spaces inside the cities themselves?

Out of this discord, the Circle of Balance emerged.

Druids who join the Circle of Balance at 2nd level adopt the tenets of the urban circle. Chief among these is the belief that civilization is a part of nature and nature, of civilization. Beyond urban plant- and wildlife, these druids recognize the creatures around them, humanoid and non-, as part of the natural order of the world and worthy of protection.

While others might find cityscapes stifling or lifeless, druids of the Circle of Balance find artificially-developed environs fascinating and have sought to adapt themselves to better commune with and understand the far-reaching possibilities of cities at peace with nature, open to more forms of life and ways of being. This adaptation is not one-sided, however; as Circle of Balance druids grow more powerful, they irresistibly alter the urban environment around themselves. They constantly seek understanding and accord between the various peoples and beings of the world, across both densely populated and extremely remote spaces.

Please check out my other druid subclass, The Circle of Sunlight. Suited for urban or wilderness campaigns, this subclass is perfect for lovers of life and beauty.

I would love for you to leave a review and let me know what you think! Thank you so much!

The Circle Of Balance is by author Beth Ball of Grove Guardian Press (the design team behind D&D Duets) and is a great example of the kind of content that can really add new content to a D&D 5e game. In brief the core notion of The Circle Of [...]

This is an excellent product and it brings an urban-focused Druid to the table. The writing is excellent as is the layout. Personally, I could take or leave the Fey Pug or Jewel Fox but I do appreciate their inclusion as many will love them and they wo [...]

This subclass is FANTASTIC! The intersection between cities and nature is such an underexplored area for Druid-players, and this subclass directly fills that need. The subclass directly addresses some of the interesting situations a city-dwelling Druid [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
