Would you say this is system agnostic or is it geared to 5e or D&D specific ? ... I would like to try running Legend of the 5 Rings solo and maybe Carbon 2185 (which is at least 5e).

It's definitely system agnostic. The example adventure that I demonstrate in the product uses the Dungeon Crawl Classics RPG

Do you need "The Solo Adventurer's Toolbox" to use this or is it standalone?

Nope, this is a standalone product. However, the Toolbox can add more detail to your adventures using this system.

Thanks! Though I'll probably own both sooner rather than later. :-)

This supplement is short but dense with specifics that aid conversion of modules for solo RPG play. Well priced and useful. The author's UK/AU/NZ English adds a fun flavor, too.
Five stars!

I'm thinking of buying this to play "Baldur's Gate: Descent Into Avernus" Solo. Do you think that will work?

I would say no, as you need more then just conversion. Have a look at the adventurers toolbox I & II or DM yourself . I also recommend starting with a simpler adventure like mines of phandelver or icespire peak

Can someone please tell me if this guide converts to D&D5e or other rule system? For example, if I were to convert Basic D&D B7 Rahasia, what rule system would I then use to play it? Thx

I have to comment on one bit of the terminology in your book. Not a everyone knows what a BBEG is. I had to look it up. I guess that makes me uncool. I am writing to say you should have considered doing one “BBEG (Big Bad Evil Guy)” parenthesis.

So far your suggestions look good. I just started reading. Looking forward to putting these ideas to use. More later.

Thank you so much for this!
I wish the Makers of the DnD books would also make a variant for solo play.
Wish there would be more people who make solo books! :) Thank you again

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
