The Secret of Havenfall Manor

ADD TO WISHLIST >

Can be used as an "expansion" to Dragon of Icespire Peak (but not required).

News of a manor just inside Neverwinter Forest is generating an assortment of unusual rumors... Tales speak of everything from a haunted Manor. A few have dared to investigate the Manor... but as soon as they approach, they're overcome by an eerie feeling that something is watching them... None have entered Havenfall Manor since its destruction at the hands of a White Dragon... what is it that keeps people away? Why is the forest so silent and cold surrounding the Manor? Is it that the White Dragon herself has taken up residence?

40 pages - Includes two maps (exterior location, interior Manor), 11 pages of a "diary" as a handout for players, as they're found; one new "monster", several modified versions of monsters (as NPCs), and a dark mystery to solve... Will your players be the one to break the curse?

In the shadow
There is darkness.
In the darkness
There is despair.
In the despair
There is a curse.
Welcome to Havenfall Manor.

Gonna try this bad boy tomorrow in my Dragon of Icespire peak campaign. I've integrated everything in Roll20 and created a more dressed up, colored version of the map. I'll let you know how it went! How is 'creating' coming around in your man cave? Still working at home (Same situation over here, almost celebrating my 1 year working at home anniversary :-)).
Any updates regarding "The search for Jhade"? Stay safe!

Yes! I would absolutely LOVE to hear how it goes!
When I first made this module, I wasn't using Roll20 (I was using Discord/D&D Beyond/Beyond20 combo). I didn't even think about the map and Roll20! Hopefully it was easily to (recreate?) the map and put that into Roll20!
And yes! I am still working on the search for Jhade sequel...! It's a slow progress! I am actually knee deep in several D&D games these days - because, still working from home. This month marks a year - so my D&D game involvement has picked up! Several of my players who had never played D&D before - are now trying their hands at DMing and have me as a player (and ask me for advice! So it's been fun!)

If you and/or your players have ANY - and I mean ANY suggestions - please let me know! Anything I can do to make it better, I will update it!

Today first session, party of 5 level 5 chars. They're a bit late trying to find out what has been going around in the Mansion. But with one of their mentors going on an investigation alone, they seemed a bit worried that something might happen to him. Especially with the rumor mill that they read in a note regarding this mission. I can send you a couple of screen shots if you would like? (From the map) And will certainly keep you posted about what will happen with this party hahaha. We will learn if it's balanced enough and I have asked the party to also let me know what they think of it (and will let you know their opinions also ofc).

Great to hear that you're so involved in multiple D&D games, that means that you're having fun and being socially involved, that's a big pro during these days :-).

As for now, stay stafe and I'll keep you posted :-)!

Hrm - what was it that made them a bit late finding out about the Manor? (But I do like they were worried about the one who went to Investigate alone!) It's good to invoke that sense of fear and creepy feelings! And I would love anything you want to send - screenshots, notes about how things happened, your thoughts, player thoughts! You can do that here - and if there's images - just send it to HavenfallATtawmis.com (replace the "AT" with the actual @ symbol) and I should get it!

And yeah - doing multiple D&D sessions during lockdown has helped my sanity - and a great way to stay in touch with friends. I have a bi-weekly Sunday game I am a player in, a week Thurs game I am a player in, a player in a monthly game, and then I DM three other games myself!

Hey Tawmis, I like the feel of this adventure and am looking to run it soon for my Icespire Peak group. I was wondering what your progress is on "The Search for Jhade" sequel?

Hey Christopher!
First, thanks for checking out the module!
The Search for Jhade I am still doing - but recently got put on hold due to being forced to work from home. (You'd think I'd do more, right? But now my "man cave" is now my work space, so I don't tend to spend a little time stuck in front of the same computer! I've also been doing (and in) a lot more D&D games, because everyone's Quarantined - so, Discord has been getting a lot of use! But let me get back to it, since I know there's actual interest!
Once again, thank you so much for the comment!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
