The Haunt 3

The Haunt 3

Carol Anne, aka The Evil Doll, has a momentary window of reprieve from her horrific damnation. She seeks heroes to undo the great evil that was placed upon her soul over a millennia ago and prevent the horror that followed. Do your heroes have the nerve to enter the "Space Between" and relive the terrifying events of the past?!

The horrific Finale to the Multi-PLATINUM bestselling, and Dragon+ Magazine featured horror adventure series: The Haunt.

The Haunt 3 is both a one-shot, and a sequel that can be run as either. It is a 6-8 hour Horror themed adventure, designed for characters of 7th - 8th level.

This adventure takes the party on a trip through time and mind to attempt to save the soul of the Montarthas daughter, Carol Anne, and stop the events that eventuated in her transformation into the accursed Evil Doll.

The Haunt 3 offers the party a number of objectives by which to save Carol Anne from her dark fate as we revisit iconic locations likely known to the players (if they have played through the first two in the series), however each has its own new twist that is sure to catch the party off-guard at first and keep the suspense high thereafter.

DISCLAIMER! This will be a challenging (and likely deadly) adventure for 7th level player groups of 3 to 5 players with some deadly encounters. However, ideally The Haunt 3 is tailored as a medium difficulty adventure with plenty of excitement, horror, suspense and danger for an 8th level party of 4 to 5 players.

I am going to run this for my group this weekend. We usually play about 8-9 hours so I was wondering about the play time of the 3 chapters and whether or not we could do all 3 in that time?

Did I miss it or is there no Fantasy grounds version of this 3rd adventure?

Hi. I’ve had a thorough look at the product descriptions and PDF previews of the entire Haunt trilogy. They all look great and I’m thinking about buying all three. Is there a discounted bundle available where I can buy the entire trilogy ?

Hi Mark,

No discounted bundle yet, however all 3 of these adventures are currently at 20% off (until 17th May 2020). Not only that, but 100% royalties go to us small creators (rather than the usual 50%). So now is the perfect time to get a deal and also support small creators :)

Cheers for the kind words.

Hello! I have intentions of running this adventure in the next couple of weeks after running the Haunt 1 & 2 in the last few months, what did you have in mind for rests during this trip through time? I'm curious if anything happens if they stay to long without walking in the counter-clockwise circle? Thanks

Heya David,

Firstly, thank you :)

And to your question: That is largely left up to the DM. But, I would suggest treating it as a whole dungeon. Being that only allow short rests between the encounters, though I would only allow a long rest before they enter the first portal. If you feel the party are being hammered a little too much, allow one long rest between them as you see fit.

Nothing is intended to happen if they don't enter the space between, however feel free to add something if you think it will give more reason for your players to enter it.

Looking forward to hearing how it all plays out :)

So, quick question. Like how it's laid out and regrets back to the other 2. With the endings laid out the way they are, if the party succeeds well they get nothing? If they get the "bad" ending, they get the item. If they get the good ending they get nothing?

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
