NOW AN GOLD SELLER! Thank you all for the continued support and I hope you all a happy gaming session(s) from this module.

The long awaited 3rd installment of the Underling Revival series is here! Over 37,000 of you have tried Rise of the Necromancer and I urge you all to get the next two in the series to follow up the events and start this campaign.

This final chapter takes place in Faerun  and our players will head to the city of Westgate where they must battle hideous monsters that serve the Underling as it begins to create a body in order to surive in the Material Plane. This module is meant for 4 characters above level 5 (recommended 8+) but can be edited to suit higher levels/more players and has a variety of challenges and unique encounters.

33 pages of non stop action and drama unfold as our players help the helpless, assist fellow heroes and fight off the Underling's hoards as they battle to save the very world we know before it's too late.

This is the last module from my previous titles "Rise of the Necromancer" (free) and "The Underling's Awakening". I have also included ink friendly versions and a monster stats PDF with all the monsters stats from this module. Maps are included (some are not ink friendly I apologise in advance) and greatly enhance this modules play style.

I wish you many hours of enjoyment and good luck in the fight against the Underling!

My most sincere thanks to you all for the support. Feedback and reviews are greatly welcome. I intend to re do some of my old works in this series to smooth out some of the bumps.

we played the rise of the necromancer at the start of my campaign. can I run this final chapter without running the second one? my party is currently level 10 and i would want to just throw them a level 4 campaign for them to plow through

Hey Theo, nothing stopping you running the third one next - could do a quick story update though as maybe another set of adventurers came across the underlings plans which incorporates the second module and have enlisted your party to finally take on the Underling as they don't feel up to it? Failing that you could run the second module increasing the difficulty as you see fit by adding in more or more powerful monsters from the Monster manual etc as you see fit depending on your partys proficiency with D&D.

Personally in this case I would get the players to make some fresh level 5 characters and play out the second one (maybe the wizard is fed up book keeping and JUST WANTS TO SMASH SOME THINGS as a barbarian so it will give them a small break from their main characters for a few sessions) allowing them to "play out" the story being built and then the new characters could as ive said - reach out to their main characters to do the heavy lifting in part 3.

Just a thought...See more

How long do you reckon this game should last?

Hi Bevan, its difficult to say as i dont know how you normally play but it should last a good three to four 2 hour sessions if you go through the whole module. I play tested each section individually but have yet to run it through as a whole, truth being told. You could gloss over some of the finer details if you need it to go faster but i would say take your time and enjoy making your PCs feel trapped and as if they really need to end the Underling once and for all!

Thank you Craig for the Rise of the Necromancer. i have played some d&d as a player. but my daughter have been bagging to DM a game for them. so tried your Rise of the Necromancer. we played for 9 hours. and i had 6 players in the game for my 1st time as a DM and only killed one player off. but we almost lost more. it was crazy. but fun was had. and now they want me to do some more. so thank you for this and i will be buying the other two mods. they helped out so much.

Craig, I would like to personally thank you for all of the adventures you have made, Rise of the Necromancer, The Underlings Awakening and Empire of the Underling. Me and my group have spent hours and hours playing the adventures, I have watched my group go from weak wizards and paladins to strong great mages and divine paladins. Your adventures have helped me and my group a lot, considering I don't have much time to prepare. I would rate this module a 5/5 in terms of balancing role play and combat and definitely don't forget the epic boss fight. I eagerly await the next adventure you make, I love the necromancer/demon genre and would love to see a Vampire campaign made by you. If you do decide to make another adventure, I would love for it to run from 1-8 or something. Thank you for the great adventures, I await the next!

Hello Liam, thank you so much. I am eternally humbled and grateful for your support. As a DM I can sympathize with you on the feeling of watching the party grow and flourish from a band of would be misfits into a powerful team. Im glad all my hard work and effort has paid off and that many more will enjoy the small campaign I have created. An FYI I will be taking the rest of the year off from writing any guides, holiday season and my own group will need seeing to but come the new year will be the start of a new era in Westgate - get the new character sheets ready for a great continuation of this part of Faerun!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
